  1. I can't talk too much right now because I'm busy with some stuff atm but I will say that I saw The Revenant on Sunday night and... Yeah that one's going to be in my top 10 as well. Admittedly I'll have to kick out either Ex Machina or The Martian to make room for it (neither one of which is ideal sadly ) but it was a fantastic movie nonetheless. I'll PM with you with some more detailed thoughts either tonight or tomorrow night but for now I'll just say: I like Emma Stone a lot too, but my favorite actress right now besides J. Law is probably Emily Blunt. Love her so much and she was so great in Sicario. And Edge of Tomorrow. She would make a great Captain Marvel honestly.
  2. SO HAPPY YOUR BACK!!!! missed you buddy!!!

and i have no problem with anyone ranking anything jenniffer lawrence does higher than it's suppsoed to be I'm a huge fan of her and Emma Stone

I just saw the revananat and it was brilliant and so so so sad, it's a really great movie and I plan on seeing all those things you've listed as long as you vouch for them, excited to see you back, haven't been on here in a while and can't wait to continue the movie discusssion
  3. And here are 10 (or 11) more that I also thought were really awesome, and in many ways just as awesome as my top 10 but ultimately I'm listing them in the second 10 instead. Once again, not ranked just in terms of when I saw them in the calendar year: 1. Inside Out. 2. Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation. 3. Straight Outta Compton. 4. Black Mass. 5. 99 Homes. 6. The Walk. 7. Steve Jobs. 8, Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 (shut up! we're all allowed our guilty pleasures! Jennifer Lawrence is really pretty goddammit! ) 9. Chi-Raq (maybe this one I should ditch. A lot of people pointed out it was basically just Spike Lee going on a political rant. I think I liked it just because I'm a college senior now, how time flies, and a lot of what was discussed in this film is very similar to the types of discussions I have on my Liberal college campus). 10. Brooklyn. 11. The Big Short. And plenty of other great films too! I'll let you know about a full list a little bit later from. ;)
  4. Also, if I had to pick my 10 favorite films of this year (that I've seen so far, I still have not seen The Revenant starring Leonardo DiCaprio but I've seen most of the other really great films this year. That one has still eluded me though, and I know I'd like it. ) But here are the 10 films so far that've affected me the most. In no particular order other then when I saw them: 1. Ex Machina. 2. Mad Max: Fury Road. 3. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. 4. Sicario. 5. The Martian. 6. Beasts of No Nation (not since Whiplash has a film in theaters made me *physically shake* as I walked home from it ) 7. Room. 8. Creed. 9. Spotlight. 10. Star Wars: The Force Awakens (I saw this on opening night. Easily one of my top 10 or even top 5 favorite movie theater experiences of all time. JJ Abrams is now one of my favorite people for pulling this one off. )
  5. Yes. And I'm here to stay this time. For reals this time. I'll have an elaborate post on how One Piece was mostly awesome this year (except for Rebecca, she was terrible) with many many stupid videos there. Also, I saw 50+ movies in the theater this year, and I'm going to try to rank as many as possible in some sort of film thread. My knowledge of film is vast as a film school student and aspiring filmmaker and I want to recommend some great stuff to people that they might not know about. Give me one second here while I pull up my list. Also read Tokyo Ghoul it's amazing. And My Hero Academia. And World Trigger.
  6. The anime probably is the better method of starting out the series. It's very well done, and kind of enhances the experience by providing actual sound to the humor. I enjoyed it from pretty much the beginning but I think I would agree that it got better as it shifted more towards serious story arcs. Of course it never quite lost its sense of humor, which I've always loved about it. It might not be the right series for you, but I would recommend you at least wait until finishing the Benizakura arc (ch. 89 of the manga, ep. 58 of the anime) before you really decide if it's the series for you. Because then you'll have seen how the series is when it gets a bit darker. And it's pretty awesome. I find it to consistently be very entertaining.
  7. Should I be watching Gintama? I've been reading I'm on chapter 24 and it's really boring right now, I kind of just instinctively went to the manga, or do you know when it really sets off?
  8. Woops I accidentally answered your comment on my page. Well check out my page if you want my answer. I'll get to Game of Thrones don't you worry.
  9. I haven't really found a good thing to watch game of thrones on the computer except for HBO.go which you can only use if you HBO, other than that I'm clueless, and I was trying to watch a lot of anime stuff like the the movies ninja scroll, grave of the fire flies, and watch the seasons of cowboy bebop, trigun, and outlaw star.... lol a lot of stuff I guess that's why I was just trying to find a place that you can watch a lot of that stuff online
