Um, what kind of bands do I like?

Er...well, as someone put it, "rustic/old rock pastiche combo anthem rock/folk bands."

But seriously, I'm really not sure what I like about that album, since it goes against most of my tastes. I guess I enjoyed the sentimentality of it, forced or not, as well as the pretty standard four-on-the-floor straight-ahead rockiness of it all. I've reached some odd phase in my music tastes where I like bands I once would have declared shitty--currently in love with the Foo Fighters, for example--and I think it's a reaction to my younger years where I was determined to only like really complex/subtle shit. So...I'm not sure you can help me out, since I think I'm having a love affair with bad music right now. But thanks, friend.
