Now I think dubs really really should not use honorifics...generally. Because it just sounds awkward coming out of a native English speaker, so the script should be written without them or around them, unless there's no other way to convey a specific nickname ("Chiyo-chan" in Azumanga Daioh)
Also, I have to the only person that's not really interested in those "gateway" anime - Bebop, Neon Genesis, Guerran Lagann, Samurai Champloo....I guess that era passed me by.
I'm a person who believes dubs have increased in quality since the beginning of the 21 century.....around the mid 2000s. '80s and '90s have laughably bad dubs imo, and early 2000s weren't too better.
I'm still in dub mode, but maybe I'll check a few out in sub mode. Generally I'm a dub guy these days.
The anime definitely gives off that vibe.
Now Nagisa has entered the picture.
Wait, is it 4koma style?
It's got over 300 chapters! Haha. :D
The series is overall pretty darn cute. Like Yotsuba, it just seems so pleasant to read/watch.
Ooh Eiko I like a lot so far, she seems to be the main one in keeping Squid Girl in check (reminds me of Natsumi from Sgt. Frog)
Actually this whole series is similar to Sgt. Frog. Nonhuman being attempts to conquer humanity, fails miserably, forced to work for humans, gets very distracted easily...maybe that's why I like ti so much.
Actually maybe. She moved like a bullet train and cut Squid Girl's tentacles/hair with her bare hands in episode 1. XD
Also, Chizuru is both badass and scary.
