Haha, I'm glad you like them Will! :) You should check out his(Tatsuya Yoshida, the drummer) other band KoenjiHyakkei to if you haven't already. Maybe a little less noisy but they are still damned good.
Also... Magma! Listen to them! ;) They are also less noisy then ruins. But Tatsuya draws much of his style from them and they are a very sort of influential group.

I heavily rely on blogs and youtube, but it's pretty hard to find the first.

I blame Kim Gordon really..Her voice is just too much for me.. I'd probably more into them if she sang less.
