Hello my lusophone friend. I'm here to tell you that our former president Lula just got sentenced to 9 years of prison.
This is only for one of his crimes, there is at least 4 more, so 20 years is not a farfetch idea.

    Kinda part 3

As you know, our current president is under investigation for blackmailing, this put him in a bad spot, where he could get impeached any time given.

Now, if he is indeed impeached, to summarize things, we are going to get new elections (direct or indirect), either way, this gives a opportunity for everyone who is currently under investigation to run for president and if this person wins, he/her gets immunity for any kind of investigation, such as the Lava-Jato.

People justify (obviously not directly) the shielding of Temer in order to prevent the supposed return of Lula as president

    Part 2

It truly feels like we are orphans, with no one to actually care for our country.
Right now, we are stuck with the current president that is also involved with big corruption schemes with Eduardo Cunha, but, if he suffers a impeachment, that would be another president going down just one year after the last one, that would be horrible for the country stability.

Also, if the current president is impeached, there is going to another election, giving the chance of politicians that are under investigation to be free and run for president. The biggest exemple would be Lula.

Sorry for the late reply, I am having a hard time to find motivation to post here.

If you think that's crazy, there are people asking for the return of the military.
As for what you said, I highly agree with you, but only in a healthy democracy, in Brazil's case, since the end of the military intervention of 64 that we don't have a properly democracy, just two big parties that dispute political offices, there is not even a extreme/moderate alt right party in my country.
That, plus 10+ years of demagogy and what it looked like a dictatorship disguised as democracy, let's not forget the amount of corruption schemes that put the Brazilians in total disbelief in our country/political scene.

That is an awesome list. You're quite an experienced anime/manga fan. Fortunately, so am I.

I have watched/read One Piece, My Hero Academia, Naruto, Dragon Ball, Hunter x Hunter, Yu Yu Hakusho, Zatch Bell, Berserk, Fullmetal Alchemist, Death Note, Code Geass, Samurai Champloo, Assassination Classroom, Toriko, Inu Yashiki, Dr. Stone, Future Diary, and probably other series I can't remember off the top of my head.

Funny, due to the recent disbelief of our government, a lot of people are asking for the return of the monarchy, or a parliamentary type of monarchy. Well, we still have decedents of the royal family.

Anyways, now that we've started chatting... What manga and anime series have you read/watched?

I wanted to be a science and facts guy when I was a kid, but my natural talent and hobbies leaned toward writing/entertainment more. You have to pursue what earnestly fulfills you in life. Passion is the fuel that makes you persevere throughout struggles and spurs you to keep improving. And not just because you need to, it's literally that fun.

I'm willing to die for my dream, exactly like a shonen protagonist. I already partnered up with an aspiring artist, who became a close friend I made on a video game forum a few years ago. I love his art style, and I got him to watch/read One Piece lol. I've already been planning out a series for a few years that is in similar scale to long running shonen manga. Actually, it's heavily inspired by One Piece (and many series/genres I love in general). It will be a project that represents not only what I like, but what defines me inside and out. It will be my magnum opus.
