Vegapunk Fansubs information (updated)

Vegapunk Fansubs is officially shut down. We've lost our manager/leader, our website (the
URL now goes to a Swedish porn site, so be warned), our ftp server where all of our subbing
materials were stored, and our motivation. I finally heard from Hedi yesterday. He also
hasn't heard anything from Kuzan since May, and we have lost touch with most of the other
staff as well. Neither of us has the time/energy or desire to try to pick up the pieces and
continue without him. So this is it. There will be no more releases of any kind from
Vegapunk Fansubs, nor will the website return.

You can still get our hardsub releases by torrent from here:

But I can't promise how long they will be available, so if you want anything, it's better to

The official Vegapunk raws are no longer available, but you can get raws to use with our scripts from here:

As for the Vanillapunk releases, you are on your own.

I've heard that our IRC channel #vegapunk@irc.rizon.net still exists, so you may be able to get some help finding things by asking there.

I'm sorry things had to end like this, but this is often how it is with subbing a long
series (e.g. Gerusama, ADC). Still I am glad we were able to provide almost 50 episodes of hardsubs plus another 25 or so of softsubs as well as being one of the first groups to release HD fansubs as well as to provide our softsubs scripts for people to watch with the raws or
translate into other languages. And, I feel the new episodes are in good hands with
Funimation, Yibis, and Shin-Nakama. Anyway, thank you again to all of the loyal fans and
staff that made Vegapunk Fansubs possible.

As a parting gift, here is the custom font that VP used for the episode titles. It's not
perfect, and it is missing a few special characters, but it matches Toei's font much better
than what any of the other groups are using, so anyone please feel free to use it for
whatever. It was created by zkx, so if you do is it, please give him credit somewhere.

Also, since Kuzan had been wanting us to eventually become an open source fansub group, here are all of the subbing materials that I was able to salvage, minus the raws. It includes all of our fonts, and all of our work on the Thriller Bark arc that I was able to get ahold of,
including typesetting and some special effects material. Again, feel free to use any of it
as you please, but if you do, please give credit to Vegapunk Fansubs somewhere.

Sorry for the double post. This is not official, and I will update you with any new news, but it looks like this may be the end of Vegapunk Fansubs. Please see the Important Update at the end of the first post for details.

Crazy stuff. If they do get up and running they are going to need to release something quickly.

Hopefully, something will happen soon! All that matters is if they could at least bridge the gap between themselves and a decent/good group like Nakama or Yibis (anyone know any other good groups?)

TittaPorr seems to be a Swedish site. Either the domain has lapsed and they've bought it or there's a weird problem with the DNS.

The domain's registration likely expired and ended being bought by one of the bazillion website-spam-companies (In this case, Black Label). If so, it's not likely the site will ever return to it's previous owner.

That's fine as long as you give us credit. Also, make sure to check the scripts carefully, because there are a number of typos and translation errors and some awkward wording here and there.

By the way, it turns out that TittaPorr is a porn site and definitely not affiliated with Vegapunk Fansubs in any way. But, now you will go there if you try to go to vegapunk.com, so beware. I wish I was in a position to restore the site or to take over leadership of VP at least temporarily to get things running again, but I am not. And like I said, other than bridging the gap between 443 and 463 (which we at least released scripts for), there isn't much reason for VP to continue to exist after falling so far behind.

If anyone needs direct download links for episodes 317-342 just ask.
I have em all already uploaded to Megaupload
I downloaded the best quality you could download from em so keep that in mind (334-342 is in FHD and all eps before that is in HD)
Getting eps 334-342 in FHD takes a while (if it still has any seeders...) So direct download is the easiest, and fastest, way to get em
I also have 343-349 uploaded with vegapunk's softsubs (they called it Vanillapunk)

Hey man, could I get a link to the vanilla punk? And just to make sure, vanilla punk is just the regular raw, with no added effects on the typeset right? It's just plain script?

Yeah it has no added effects. It's just the script.
If you wanna make sure it's what you're looking for just download one of them and check it out before downloading the others.
Or you could check the vid yourself on the megavideo site. Just keep in mind they lower the quality by a lot on that site so the downloaded vid will have a way better quality than the one played on megavideo.

Nothing from Kuzan. I did hear from our timer who also hasn't been able to get ahold of Kuzan for about 3 months, so that doesn't sound promising. Although it could be that he just got extremely busy with RL stuff this summer. I will keep trying to find out anything official.
