Being historical doesn't mean the story is faithful to the historical real events. It's fiction still.

All of them are protagonists of Genpei Wars: Taira no Noritsune, Emperor Antoku, and Minamoto no Yoshitsune. The worldbuilding is heavily connected with history... Yes, the art is fantastic.
