Yeah, something like that could work quite well. Have them clear their individual obstacles before they can take care of saving people.

Sticky: Re: Chapter 1,000: Straw Hat Luffy

That was pretty nice. Like others, I appreciated Luffy walking over to Kin'emon to check on him.

So this is really it, huh? Kaido is going down here. I admit, it was obvious for a while now that...
  3. Re: AP Forums Tabletop Gaming Thread: ROLLIN' DICE AND PLAYIN' NICE

True, that's another option. But I do want to get my Wisdom to 20 at some point and Resilient (Con) will even out my Con score. So I don't really have the room for another feat.
  4. Re: AP Forums Tabletop Gaming Thread: ROLLIN' DICE AND PLAYIN' NICE

Interesting suggestion, thanks. I don't really see it for the character right now, but I can steer him there if I want to.

This just made me realize that multiclassing into another Wisdom caster...
  5. Re: AP Forums Tabletop Gaming Thread: ROLLIN' DICE AND PLAYIN' NICE

I have a question now, or maybe I just want to talk about my current character.

It's a Lizardfolk Knowledge cleric of Semuanya that just got to level 5 recently. The campaign is supposedly going...
  6. Re: AP Forums Tabletop Gaming Thread: ROLLIN' DICE AND PLAYIN' NICE

It's strange that this is the only item without a curse. I like Bestial Bloodlust, but I would be wary giving that ability to the Fighter while there is also a Barbarian in the party. Itís very...
  7. Re: AP Forums Tabletop Gaming Thread: ROLLIN' DICE AND PLAYIN' NICE

Sure, why not? My sense of balance isn't as well-honed as it is for Magic cards, but I can probably say if it sounds fun. :)
  8. Re: AP Forums Tabletop Gaming Thread: ROLLIN' DICE AND PLAYIN' NICE

Like I said, I think it's totally fine for a short adventure and I don't take one-shots particularly seriously. They're perfect for whatever silly and out-there concept you may have. So I personally...
  9. Re: AP Forums Tabletop Gaming Thread: ROLLIN' DICE AND PLAYIN' NICE

Well, gather round children. It's time for a story.

In the first campaign I ever played, we had a typical Warlock who was very clearly getting more and more insane over the sessions. The problem...

Re: American Politics: We're in for it now

I read some YouTube comments because I hate joy in my life and everybody on there is now - predictably - calling Tucker a traitor. He must have known that would happen so I wonder what incentive he...

Re: American Politics: We're in for it now

That's the point. Trump is acting in a way right now that directly contradicts his old tweet/stance/opinion as he is wont to do.

Re: American Politics: We're in for it now

You're right, theoretically this could be Republicans changing their mind. My issue is that the situation is exactly the same as it was 4 years ago and the Republicans are trying to spin it as...

This reminds me of the Trevor Noah video where he explains the social contract that is supposed to benefit everybody. He made that in response to the riots after George Floyd got killed. Not sure if...

Re: American Politics: We're in for it now

I would welcome that as well. The GOP's obvious move after Trump loses is to distance itself from him and claim that they were all just forced to go along with his ideas. Which is clearly nothing but...

Re: American Politics: We're in for it now

Thanks for the response. Trump probably did what he set out to do, yes. But from what I've read, Biden managed to convert a personal insult of his son into a relatable message to families in the...

Why do you feel that way?

I haven't seen the debate myself, but different people seem to be taking different things from it.

I feel like that's the general problem with barbarians. The capstone is fantastic but nobody ever gets there. And on the way there the only remarkable feature after level 5 is Relentless Rage. The...
  20. Re: AP Forums Tabletop Gaming Thread: ROLLIN' DICE AND PLAYIN' NICE

The revised one from Tasha's, right? The Wild Magic rage looks super fun. I enjoy some randomness like that for sure where you have to make whatever you get work for you. And the lvl 6 feature that...

I imagine it would be similar to certain Trump followers who can't stop supporting him and who can't allow themselves to recognize that he has always been a garbage human being because that would...

My favourite character - and the one I have played the longest - is an Arcane Trickster Rogue that I created for Waterdeep: Dragon Heist. Throughout the campaign she was constantly traumatized by a...
