Re: My Hero Academia II - Bhyyyyyyyyy

One of the most enjoyable Hero chapters in a long while.
Probably because the League of Villains is one of my favourite aspects of the series.

A whole chapter of them interacting with each other...

Holy crap, we're finally touching this history subject?
Interesting, Hori... Let's see where this goes.

Re: My Hero Academia II - Bhyyyyyyyyy

Wow, what a good chapter. Seems that the black whip chapters were merely a stumble.
    Everything here was pretty great.

Mina trolling Uraraka and calling Mineta a freak,
    Shinso's promised transfer...

During the sports festival Midoriya mentioned that Mina has above average strength/fitness.
I'm really glad that Hori let her punch someone again lol

There's so much to unpack with how much you misunderstood my "knowing your role" comment.
Like wow.... I'm genuinely impressed at how mistaken you were about the entire meaning of my whole post....

Re: My Hero Academia II - Bhyyyyyyyyy

Isn't one of the driving praises behind My Hero Academia the fact that it doesn't rely on shonen crutches too much?
One of my friends absolutely hates shonen (to the point of preferring FMA 2003...

Re: My Hero Academia II - Bhyyyyyyyyy

This also ties into the origin story of the quirk.
The original holder was given the ability to stockpile power.
This merged with his latent ability to pass on quirks.

    It's not outside the realm...

Re: My Hero Academia II - Bhyyyyyyyyy

That's a big reason I'm okay with this, yes.
If Shigaraki ends up getting multiple quirks himself, there's nothing dishonourable about evening the playing field.

I think it would be cool for Deku to not keep anything a secret anymore, and come out like Tony Stark did.

Re: My Hero Academia II - Bhyyyyyyyyy

I see what Horikoshi is doing.

He's intentionally blue-balling the match between Deku and Shinsou.
We'll never know which team would have won because he's interrupting it.

Re: My Hero Academia II - Bhyyyyyyyyy

I just assumed that blocking Bakugo's attack counted as another touch, then the hardening went away because he had explosion again after the fact.

Re: My Hero Academia II - Bhyyyyyyyyy

Yeah, it would totally make sense as an upgrade.
I was just wondering if the "rules" for these special ability quirks are ubreakably fixed in place.

If they can be trained just like other types...

Re: My Hero Academia II - Bhyyyyyyyyy

You can see him smack Kirishima's head in the top panel, to gain the hardening quirk after using explosion.
Which is exactly the moment I was referring to.
It was shown more clearly when animated....

Re: My Hero Academia II - Bhyyyyyyyyy

Let me be the one to say it.

If you go back and re-read or re-watch, it's stated that Monoma can only copy one quirk at a time (the most recent person he touched with his hand).

I think it's Drill Sergeant logic.
He just talks tough very abrasively without meaning much of it personally.
And over time they've come to understand and accept it.

That's a big part of why this made me grin.
Class B have been on too much of a high horse so far, especially with Vlad not helping matters.
Seeing them get wiped out for once was just golden.

Re: My Hero Academia II - Bhyyyyyyyyy

    I LOVED this.
Especially for the development on show.
Bakugo being trusted to lead the offensive was a given with a quirk like his,
but what really stands out to me is how he fully committed...

    SHE'S LITERALLY BUGGY.
    THAT'S LITERALLY BARA BARA FESTIVAL.

    That's pretty great tbh.
Still not seeing what makes her "extremely dirty", though there's still time to show us.
