Re: My Hero Academia II - Harvey Birdman, Hero at Law

We already suspect that some of those hero names will be changed, why not evolve some of the costumes too?

Not everyone can have the simple but earnest look of the great hero Wash.

Re: My Hero Academia II - Harvey Birdman, Hero at Law

New opening song and visuals are both...fine. The song is cool for the most part until the generic pop chorus (bad choruses are a problem a lot of MHA openings). The visuals are good quality but they...

I don't know that I'd really call that a death threat but anyone who can't see Endeavor being set up to fail must be totally blind.

Re: My Hero Academia II - Harvey Birdman, Hero at Law

I think that depends a lot on Dabi. If he's more focused on Endeavor, sure, that might work. But if he's focused on hero society as a whole, acting now makes more sense.

    This right here is...

Re: My Hero Academia II - Harvey Birdman, Hero at Law

Dabi doesn't even need to make Endeavor quirkless. He just needs to make it clear Endeavor is a shitty, abusive All Might knock-off that can't be a Symbol of anything with his character flaws....

I can't tell if the chapter is really that disjointed or if it's just MS fucking it up.

Re: My Hero Academia II - Harvey Birdman, Hero at Law

Whataboutism in manga discussions are just the best. Pointing out that the vast majority of shonen barely feature competent female fighters doesn't excuse MHA from shying away from them.

    As others...

Yep, Eri has simplified language that's mostly just a reflection of her age, as opposed to her cluelessness about many words that's almost certainly a result of her captivity. The language a lot of...

Re: My Hero Academia II - Harvey Birdman, Hero at Law

Geez, I knew the subs had some murky translations at some points but I didn't realize it was quite so bad. Reading the manga allows most of us to just gloss over the wonkiness usually, I suppose.

Re: My Hero Academia II - Harvey Birdman, Hero at Law

In retrospect, one of the biggest flaws of the Yakuza arc is that it introduced several new characters that actively took screen time away from our focal class. Expanding the cast is fine and all but...

Man, that's really different from how I interpreted that little scene. To me it was all about how Endeavor would never be able to truly surpass All Might and was just handed the top spot instead of...

Re: My Hero Academia II - Harvey Birdman, Hero at Law

I'm positive Endeavor isn't already dead, but I do think it's too early to wrap his story up with a sacrifice to beat High-End. I also don't like the thought of him directly following All Might's...

It's awesome that Jirou is playable and looks to have a unique moveset. I guess it's her manga popularity that got her in since she's barely been featured at all in the anime so far.

Re: My Hero Academia II - Harvey Birdman, Hero at Law

The reason Hawks isn't there is presumably because he's not a UA alumnus. The call that assembled the hero strike forces were all doing it to repay UA.
