Now if Oda played this off as Akainu having a greater mastery over his fruit, I'll be all fine about it. Otherwise... err... Reminds me of the intense hot lightening not burning rubber to a crisp of Skypiea.
I stopped trying to think too much about Oda logic after Zoro put his third sword in his mouth.

bahahaha i died when i read the zoro comment lol and i whole rubber not burning thing i think electrons would slow down as they touched his body??? i dunno not much of a scientist and or educated indv... but im sure someone could type down some questionable facts for us and we can have the whole forum speaking of it as un deniable truth

There's not a way to "understand" the animal language, therefore, we don't have anything to base this off of, and we've heard of fictional works that use this sort of plot device, for instance, a popular movie called Dr. Dolittle was able to do the same...
|
Ah Dr. Dolittle.
I think partly Oda did it because it is cute. Chopper is the cute mascot character after all.

Re: Questions that don't deserve their own threads
I just reread something which surprised me somewhat, just checking if it's a translation error or not.
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/489/17/
In that panel (upper right) it is said that Vivre Cards only work in the new world..now if that is true, that would mean the strawhats have absolutely no use for the Vivre Card they got from Rayleigh, meaning they wouldn't be able to trace him back, right?

That has to be a mistranslation. Ace gave Luffy a vivrecard in Arabasta and I highly doubt he would of done that if he knew that it would only work in the New World. Not to mention there is proof that it works in places outside of the New World as Luffy could tell the vivre card was fading in Thriller Bark.

It is a mistranslation. I believe it's supposed to say that they're made in the New World. They work anywhere.

Re: Questions that don't deserve their own threads
Sorry about that. I was tricked. The pic I was trying to post was this
I'd like to clarify that with the admins. When I posted that pic it was showing me that smiley face not that other inapproriate pic.
I just saw what that other pic was when I opened up IE browser and it suddenly turned in to that other pic. Once again my bad.
It'd make no sense for me to post that pic in the spoiler thread accompained with an actual post like nothing was wrong. I had no idea.

Well it doesn't really apply to Sanji since he won't hit her...I get your point, but I don't think it's valid at all. Nico Robin could legitimately make a case for being stronger than them. I really don't see how she could not defeat and normal sized human who didn't have a logia ability.

Robin vs Zoro's zombie in Thriller Bark would disagree with you. She didn't have the strength necessary to twist him. Considering Zoro's actual strength, we can assume that this is probably fairly accurate.
As always, it's all about matchups, which was my point. I don't think there's any way that Robin could have ever hoped to defeat Kaku, for example, or Mr 1 for that matter.

Robin needs to start lifting weights than :/. If she had more strength her ability would be straight hax.

Regardless, it'll still always come down to matchups. I don't think any amount of strength would allow her to defeat Mr 1, for example. He can make his entire body a blade and since she would have to rely on touching him, she'd be in a lot of trouble. No amount of strength would ever allow her to defeat a rubberman, either.
I've always felt that Robin was under rated around here. But I do believe she is clearly inferior to Zoro in combat.
|
She is most likely going to learn how to use haki soon though right? Haki most likely increases power and allows you to bypass DF's so that could be the only power up she really needs. Not to mention she is the most intelligent crew member so she could be a kind of haki "specialist" in a way.

I don't know for certain so if anyone has a better answer then mine then please correct me.
I would guess that Chapter 0 would be animated once the anime catches up to manga chapter 565. That seems to be most logical but never the less is just a guess and not confirmed. :/

IIRC it'll be given away to select people. Possibly Jump subscribers(in Japan) or you send away for it.
