Pretty much agree with you on that. The only ones of the early manias that I know that are great are basically Wrestlemania III, IV, VIII, and X.

Last night wasn't the best WrestleMania ever, but it was definitely a great one. For me, all of the matches themselves were, at the very least, entertaining, and some of them were downright amazing. The stuff in between...well I wasn't expecting much from that stuff anyways, LOL.

THIS, however:

According to F4WOnline.com, WWE had planned for the World Title match at WrestleMania to be a quick bout several weeks ago, however there were some officials who lobbied to have that idea changed.

The reason why WWE ran such a short bout is because the company wanted to set a new record for the quickest title match at WrestleMania, which was previously held by Kane and Chavo Guerrero for the ECW Title at WrestleMania 24. However, last night's World Title bout did not beat the record, as it lasted 18 seconds and the Kane/Guerrero match lasted 8 seconds. - source

So they picked a match that people actually wanted to see happen, for one of the main titles no less, and decided, "Hey! We should use this match to break a WrestleMania record that no one cares about, or even thinks about!" And they went with it. And they not only failed to break the damn record, they gypped the fans out of one of the championship matches they paid $50 (or more) to watch.

...And so, my Sheamus/Bryan rage lives on until WrestleMania 29, where they better get their main event match, damn it!

Danielson Vs. Sheamus was one of the main reason why I wanted to watch mania. Since I like both guys. The other reason was because of Jericho and Punk. I hated how they treated both Sheamus and Danielson with that short match.

Under normal circumstances I would agree but since I am not a fan of Bryan atm I found it hilarious and awesome since he bs'd his way through every title match he had since winning the world title to see him lose the title in sucha humiliating and deserving manner is bitter sweet.

I was expecting new tattoos (it IS Albert after all), but the mustache/beard style was a surprise. Modern Fu Manchu...

Loved the 'Welcome Back'/'You Still Got It' chants too. Much better than 'Shave Your Back'.


EDIT: I dunno if you guys saw me wailing over accidentally ordering WM 3 times last night (thus being charged $134 for the PPV), but I just got an email back from WWE, and they've just sent me back an email saying the difference will be sent back to my credit card account.

I figured they'd help me out, but I wasn't expecting it this fast. Crisis averted! <33
