I loved Christian winning the ECW title, great match with Swagger. Also, the cool backstage moment with Edge and Christian after too.

Just finished watching Backlash, just 5 minutes ago. Great ppv all together, The Santina/Great Khali segment was gold, The Hardy Vs. Hardy I quit match was awesome as was the ECW Championship match, and Cena and Edge have another great match between each other as always.

Hopefully the encounterment between Christian and Edge is setting up something down the line. Maybe a reunion of Edge and Christian.

Matt Hardy suffered a broken right hand at last night's Backlash pay-per view during the "I Quit" match with his brother Jeff.

The injured was confirmed via x-rays and occured during one of the final spots in the match.

Early indications project Hardy to be on the shelf for four to six weeks.

Matt Hardy was scheduled to be one of the top heels on RAW starting tonight, as the new draft moves take "official" effect.

Of all the timing! Matt was finally coming into this 'heel' persona, and he's out of commission! Well, at least with the I QUIT match last night, he has a good storyline-reason to be off TV, and I'm sure creative will have a good way for him to come back.

Matt Hardy broke his hand during the spot Jeff crashed him through a table. He will be out of the ring for four to six weeks.

The plan as of the last creative meeting was to program him with MVP for the United States title. Watching the match back the way his hands were tied this was an accident begging to happen.

Well Matt was supposed to be feuding with MVP right now..so they had to give MVP a storyline...which could end up being his once in a career opportunity to be a champ

Agreed, it's rare opportunities like this that can transform popular upper/mid-carders to superstars if it hits the right chord. But after Shane's interruption of the match, I'm thinking MVP was just someone to face Orton while Shane took his shot; hopefully that's not the case, and we'll see MVP get his shot.

Don't blame him for that at all. This was supposed to be a big time for him, his heel status being cemented, moving to RAW...this was not a good time to get hurt. As long as he can stay on TV and fresh in the viewers minds without risking further injuries, I think it's fine.

While I really want MVP in the main event (personally I would have given him MITB rather than Punk, since Punk's already won the title), I do hope they take the US title off of him before entering the main event scene. The midcard belts get forgotten enough as it is. Still, the way he looked against Orton, he has to be in line for a main event push.

I'm thinking give the US Belt to Kofi or Santino; Kofi needs a good storyline (please please PLEASE WWE), and Santino could use something besides the "Santina" thing. Or hey, have Santina win the US Belt, and Santino getting frustrated he can't gloat/hold the Belt as himself.

And hey, MVP himself managed to stay on TV after he was diagnosed/being treated with WPWS, even when he wasn't cleared to wrestle, and it didn't kill his feud with Matt. Heck, might have even made it more interesting. This definitely doesn't need to kill Matt's push.


FYI, Mumbo, I heartily approve of your Sig/Avatar. Admittedly, I was hoping for any Canadian team to win this year (The ultimate Fair Weather fan, or Loyal Canadian? XD), so I'm hoping Vancouver goes all the way.

Besides, the irony of seeing Sudin actually win the Cup as a Canuck after all the flack he got this year would be insane. >_>

Okay. I looked over the Smackdown spoilers, and I'm not going to spoil what happens, but by the sound if it, it is a MUST-WATCH EPISODE.

Honestly I'm more excited about the Smackdown world title scene than the Raw one, because the Smackdown scene is just so fresh right now, and fresh faces on Raw like MVP and Matt still have a bit of distance left to cover before entering the world title scene.

Apparently the plan was to have MVP and Matt feud for the US title right after Backlash, but Matt's injury put the damper on that and so they're having MVP work a bit of a quickie angle with Orton on the side. Golden opportunity right there for MVP and he thrived in it last night anyway.

Haha, I do the same thing, cheering for whatever Canadian team is left. I even cheered for archnemeses the Calgary Flames back in 04.

For a long-time Canucks fan like myself though sadly just making it past the second round would be a dream come true
