    Spoiler:
I think the whole idea behind Tygra failing was because he probably was trying to go the way of "What would Liono Do?"

He was grieving silently over his brother and wanted to prove he could fill his shoes. He then tried to do as his brother would do because when Liono did it, it usually worked out. However, Liono has this extremely lucky streak when his plans are basically "make em up as I go." Tygra has no such luck, therefore he failed. He should have stuck to his own planning and left the whirlwind planning to his dead brother. But hey, cut the guy some slack, he tried.

    Episode 16:

    Spoiler:
Wow...this episode gave me a lot of the answers I wanted. I was surprised they showed Lion-O's mother actually in a dead state. Mr. Narrow face tiger has a really familiar voice...This episode was pretty dark too. This story kinda reminds me of Oedipus only without the incest. It was weird that Tygra just decided to stay...Um aren't you on a quest? Do you think Cheetara would stay? Also damn the action scene actually looked awesome. I'm slightly annoyed with shows using love always breaks curses thing, but it was still a bitter sweet ending I guess.

Ah, the great Jim Cummings lended his vocal talents for this ep...

    Spoiler:
Great episode, and I enjoyed the whole backstory for Tygra, even if it was kinda dark. I mean, I can't say it's a good thing to have your biological father agree to sacifice you as an infant, then later shun you. Although I thought Tygra saying "I lost the two most important things, my mother and my kingdom" was powerful stuff.

Though one thing puzzles me. Where the heck was the rest of the cast? I mean, don't get me wrong, Lion-O and Tygra carried this episode well by themselves and the others would screw up the flow of the episode, but.....the two of them were just randomly searching in a blizzard. Did I miss something?

Well they did state they were scouting ahead. I don't know if trekking miles is normal for scouting ahead lol. Oh and I so found it messed up that the Queen partially said prince then changed it when talking to toddler Tygra. And the back story confused me a little. Or maybe I needed to see the actual timeline. Cause we saw Tygra as a guard in his teens, in a previous episode.

Any more messed up than when Tygra picked up on it and his crown vanished? I felt bad for the little tyke.

Yeah that was sad. He looked so hurt. I still find it funny that apparently the key personality trait in a Tiger is their pride. I see no difference in how the other cats have behaved. Cats in general seem to be a prideful people as a whole. I would actually think that in a way backing Mum-ra and those other spirits for centuries is giving up on that pride. Serving something clearly evil instead of siding with the other tribes. Now I'm also wondering if we'll get a Cheetara finds her peoples too story. And what are Kit and Kat?

You're effectively screwed with CN if you don't have a DVR or Demand.

According to Tygra's actor, the show's ratings have "more than doubled" since the move to Saturday morning. Guess kids still do wake up on saturday to watch awesome cartoons.

Perhaps these "doubled ratings" will aid the show in securing another season.

Good to see the Ancient Spirits of Evil getting more screen time. Hearing them talk about about Tygra has me thinking if they'll find someone else to help them destroy the Thundercats if Mumm-ra dies or become Big Bads themselves.

I'm just loving that the Ancient Spirits are also voiced by Jim Cummings, almost guarantees him coming back in the future.

this was way better than the trials of lion-oo tigra got some back story on why he's such a jerk some times. Tigers just can't swallow their "pride" to the lions. lion pride was suppose to be a joke

Well, decent episode with the Thunderkittens (they have more siblings? Huh.) but while the flashback material was decent, I felt the main story just sort of... cut off without learning the lesson that needed to be learned.

    Full Metal Alchemist this ain't.

Now I need to hunt down the two weeks of episodes I missed in the new timeslot.

I had the same thoughts. I think it's why I don't like Kit and Kat very much. Since they've teamed up with the others just kinda give up and then a miracle happens. Nothing learned. You'd think that with going on a long trek and fighting the forces of evil you'd want some proper protein. I was surprised they didn't take back that huge whatever it was. Overall the story was very boring. Nice to see back story though.

    This pretty much.

I mean, Panthro and Cheetara were putting an emphasis on surviving on your own, doing whatever it takes.....and they end up just being lead to food? Hm. Well, I did like the flashback though......

The flashback is quite touching! But why are they called orphans? Their more of runaways than orphans, and interesting that they have siblings.
