that should be interesting. if luffy uses his powers, and blackbeard touched him and takes them away, luffy could easily die. imagine a 2nd-gear luffy getting his rubber body transformed into a normal one. his organs, not being rubber anymore, would not be able to take the strain, and he'd probably explode or something along those lines. luffy will have to beat up blackbeard without using any rubbery-powers. jus plain hand-to-hand combat.
|
thats how BB will fight again all his enemys.....only with his power...
all who have any devilfruit cant fight with their devilpüower and so they must fight with their `normal`power and their BB is a really heavy enemy cause he think of hisself as the powerfullst in the world so he want to beat everyone without the factor devilfruit

Theories that don't deserve their own thread (Spoilers HOOOO!)
How long until this shows up? I mean, seriously, it would spell doom for DF users. It seems to me like this would be an easy way to beat BB too. Think about how easy the Ace vs. BB fight would've been if Ace had some seastone on him that was covered against his skin but he could use against BB.

Re: Sea Stone Armour
Well, you could still use something like a hammer to smash them or anything else that prevents direct contact with the armor but still allows you to attack physically.
And even those who do not attack physically should be more or less safe, as many of them have long- or mid-ranged attacks: Mr. 3, Ace, Aokiji and Enel for example.
The only ones who might have severe trouble are people like Robin or Blackbeard, because their powers require direct contact... hmmmh.

Re: Sea Stone Armour
Rai, I don't understand your post? Does Luffy not lose his stretchiness from sea stone? Why doesn't he just pull himself out of water then. As for BB, why would this not be effective? When he pulls you in, the second you touch him he loses the power, then you stab him or something.
As for long-range users, perhaps some kind of sea stone bullets? We've already seen sea stone nets...
EDIT: Now that I think about it, sea stone bullets that get stuck in the person would be super effective. It wouldn't take much, just kind of a wide-shot shotgun sorta deal.

Nope, he doesn´t lose this ability. As seen in the Arlong Arc, his limbs could be stretched even though he was deep below the water. The reason why he can´t use his powers to get out of it is because the other effect that water and seastones have is that the DF user totally loses his strenght.
And since Luffy and Alvida´s ability is permantentally activaded it wouldn´t have an effect on them. But on other abilities it would most definitely work.

Yeah, I´m also waiting for this silver bullet-esque weapon to appear at some point. I´m mean it´s not like that would be an instakill against an ability user. If non-ability users can survive regular bullets then ability users should also be able to even win a fight against someone that uses seastone-bullets.

Re: Sea Stone Armour
Yeah, I wasn't suggesting that sea stone bullets would kill a Df user, but would make them very vulnerable. Vulnerable enough to be crushed easily by the kind of fighters showing up recently.

Luffy seems to get even weaker than Robin or Enel became when they were touching Seastone.

If I remember right, Robin's handcuffs weren't touching here directly because of her shirt. I might be wrong thou.
Enel's from a different class, he's a Logia. Although it wasn't clearly stated I guess Logias only have their powers cancelled while Paramecias lose their power. Or, if the power needs to be activated or not would matter.
And as you can see, no one wearing a heavy armour will be able to touch Luffy to weaken him. It would certainly work against Robin thought, and would be a great deffense against almost any attack.

Forgive me if this theory is old but I just thought of it. Could Mihawk's sword be made of seastone?

Re: Theories that don't deserve their own thread (Spoilers HOOOO!)
I was going over the Davey Black fight arc and was on game two where Zoro and Sanji play ball. I then saw Foxy team, which consisted of two monkey like men and a fish man.
Then I began thinking about the Monkey men that are Monburen's fans(forgot their names). It is possible that their crew is all monkey men too. So I was thinking that their maybe be a monkey man Island in the new world. Do you think its possible?

A man of his power probably doesnt need sea stone to slay a devil fruit user. I guess it could be though, but probably not.

I haven't heard it before, but it sounds plausible. If it's the best sword in the world, it'd also probably be the strongest sword. Since seastone is harder than any other material currently known in One Piece, it's a possibility. They're also both darkly colored.
