Latest chapter is out and holy crap! By the last page I'm betting the Earl and the Fourteenth are twins and that's why there wasn't originally an 14th Noah family member and why he wants to take over!
BTW, Link needs to not wear his uniform more often. He's quite hot! Especially with his hair down! WB Link!
An angry Dragon may eat you, but an an angry Woman is truly dangerous
Spoiler:
The ending confused me, was that kid in the field Allen?

I'm thinking it's Nea because it reminded me instantly of the image the Earl saw him in a memory
Spoiler:
Not the exact memory, but awful close to me. To me it would explain why the Earl is so hurt or troubled over the whole incident with the Fourteenth: twins tend to be way closer than regular siblings. Plus they can both control the arc and have the same swords only with inverted colors.
I don't know, maybe it's Mana that is the twin. The whole connection between those three has confused me since Nea seems to be the brother of both of them. I think I'll re-read a bunch of chapters.

I would reread this series but only in physical Copies. For some reason it's easier to reread stuff that way.

Now who allowed this thread to hibernate? Two new chapters have come out since, and I'm currently watching the awesome anime series! Up to episode 79 now!
Beacause this series deserves it. I actually stopped reading it like 3 chapters ago, I just don't care anymore.
Only series I ever dropped, how sad, I quite liked it before.
I feel exactly the same. Its together with claymore the only one I really liked before but dont care anymore. And in contrast to claymore there are not even some major flaws or that things turned horribly wrong. Its just that DGM lost its appeal without me being able to say why. I will just give it a pause for one or two years.
Eh, I can say why. The pacing been pretty slow ever since the jump to monthy and it's difficult to get invested in the plot with those gaps. But most of all, most of the cast, characters like Krory, Lenalee, Miranda, Komui, Lavi, Bookman have all been jettisoned like the first stage of a rocket ever since the switch, in exchange for Mr. Stick-in-the-mud-who-should-be-dead Kanda and...Johnny, who despite being a background character has somehow wormed his way into the main cast and eclipse everyone else despite not really doing anything to deserve it. At least Kanda was a part of the main cast since the beginning.
This series just isn't very appealing or grabbing anymore.
Pacing is a problem with pretty much any monthly series. Your points are valid, but even if someone like Lenalee got more spotlight, I dont think I would start reading it again right now. I have not completly dropped it like Iceborg, I just dont have any interest at the moment.
I think it works better if you read several chapters at a time. I do think you have a point about the characters. It became focused on these things with Allen and his "internal struggle" with the 14th Noa and such. So now it has a lot of these flashbacks and sidetracking and such. As opposed to before, when it was a lot more of a battle manga with clear goals. Which can make it confusing or less interesting. I've lost track of a few things, I'll probably go back and reread this arc once it's done. I think when it feels focused, this manga does best.
I forgot about this manga lol. I like Kanda, Miranda and Krory, but I don't like Allen, the plot with the 14th I'm confused about. It was weird, but I don't typically lose total interest in manga. I mean I still read Bleach and Naruto, I finished Air Gear. I can't quite pin point why I just don't feel like reading it. Maybe I'll go back and finish it if this ends. I think Tower of God is the only other series I just flat out dropped after reading it for so long.
