Just watched the first 2 episodes. I was BLOWN AWAY by the first episode. I forget the last time I watched something which got me feeling like I'm watching a legend in the making like that.

I loved episode 2 with the humor during the night scene with Kamina and Ron. I enjoyed that laugh.

Needless to say episode 3 when I watch it tomorrow as well as the rest (it's late) are gonna be great too. Needless to say also, that I'll be following this series to it's 26th episode end.

Well 3/4 of it was flashbacks to the previous eps. But the last few minutes of it were made of much weird in a great way win.

Actually, I read that initially, there was a scene with the chicks in the bath instead of the flashbacks in the middle of the episode, but it got replaced because of the time the anime's aired at.
They'll probably put the scene back in the DVDs or something.

I haven't seen six yet, but from a screenshot of the sub I just saw, Kamina's "MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA" in episode three wasn't just a coincidence, it was a homage.

I really can't wait to see this. I heard lots of good things about it and I can't wait to check it out. The Mecha designs look really cool too. It's got that wacky/zany look but not too zany.

Now I've watched up to episode 4. And people weren't kidding.

Wtf was that? The episode wasn't interesting or anything, and the art style....wtf man. I haven't watched 5 and 6 yet but please tell me the art and animation in back to normal in them..

Episode five is alright. Ignoring four, it's the least interesting episode in the series but it goes beyond simple fighting, really - it's got a lesson to be told as well. It's still filler in the same sense of four, but less arsinine filler.

Six is recap but that recap is censorship because the naked awesome of the episode is too much for 8:00 AM TVTokyo. So, only the last eight minutes or so of the episode (and the first four? Help me folks) is new, but what IS new is batscat insane.

Isn't that just fan speculation? IF the DVD's will get everything then most of the sexual innuendo in this ep won't be as fun anymore.

I haven't seen it so I wouldn't know, but Gainax said on their blog that the episode substituted the fanservice for recap.
