OFFICIAL Coloured Manga Audition Thread

Okay, thanks alot Terek!

I do know Zoro always turns out pretty good to me. I didnt do any coloring further than the 2nd vol, so I'm not sure about others. I'm willing to jump there if Zoro is not good enough. =O
Here are two examples [please pay attention to Zoro solo panels only]:

Thing is, those aren't too knew. I got some new ideas to get backround less boring and I'm still looking for currect colors to his swords. Shouldn't take too long, I just didn't have time.
Now it's pretty late here, I'll definitely start tommorow since its a day off [school cancelled!].

And, I do have one more questions.
Like I said, I did go up only to vol. 2, and so I worked on a Shushu scene - one that can pretty much be a good summarize near the mini-arc page. I know the themes now are characters, and I only have this one scene, so that's why I'm asking.

I always save it as PSD, so I can fix whatever you want and receive critism anytime. Including the few misses I just saw near Zoro's hands [1st page] and a more detailed Zoro [on 2nd page] which I'll fix tommorow. ^^

This sounded really interesting, so I decided to give it a shot :D I've not colored scanlations before so I gave it a go...I have way too much fun coloring anyway XD;

Still poking around, though I really like Sanji so I did a couple of pages with him...Still getting a feel for what to do...

You need to use layers. Here's how you start:

The Background layer should be the page you are doing.
Make a duplicate layer.
Set the duplicate layer to "Multiply"
Make good use of the Magic Wand.

Magic wand? I just throw the colors on there and when a nice chunk or all the coloring is done I go back and delete the excess which is outside the lines.

The limits are:

200 pixels in hieght.
500 pixels in width.
100kbs in filesize.

okay, I'm not as good as previous posters, but I would like to participate for Robin themes. and here's a sample:

it took me 2 days for colouring this, and approximately 6 hours if I work continously, but I can't do that because my eyes got tired quickly.
well...... I really bad at colouring background, especially grass and dirt so........ perhaps somebody can give any tips??

ooh i like the mintgreen background gives you a "fresh breath" sensation
(which is apropriete and all considering he's huffin and puffin alot )




Tare_chan: looks really good. im just wondering if you didnt pay a bit too much attention when colouring all those little grey and yellow flowers and stuff? (of your own creation?)
