It depends on the series, but I want to watch the anime all the way through anyway so it doesn't matter. I tend to watch an episode of Berserk then Claymore. I couldn't do that the other way around because the Claymore anime is newer than Berserk thus it would feel a bit odd.

It's like I always read a volume of Reborn online before I read Kenichi, although that's more art reasons, but the kenichi manga flows better than Kenichi even though the ideas in Reborn are probably better.

I started reading Angel Densetsu, but something odd struck me on the very first page. The translator was all, "here's a shot of fanservice from later in the volume" and I was like, woah, fanservice? Since when does Yagi put in fanservice?

I mean there is a lot of nudity in Claymore but it never really registered as fanservice to me. Sort of like the nudity in Berserk, most of the time it's far too serious a story to be considered "titillating". Though once in a while Miura throws out scenes like that one with Silke. D:

Erm, Yagi didn't draw that. It was just something the scanlating group threw in.

Great chapter. So the reason why Priscilla followed Raki was because she smelled Clare's scent who has Teresa's flesh in her. So Priscilla figured that by following Raki she'll eventually meet the smells source and regain her memories. As for why Clare reverted back, I don't think it was Priscilla since she seemed surprised by Clare reverting back. I think it has something to do with Raciella's memories and her knowledge of Soul Link pulled her back from fully awakening. Interesting that Clare can pull off her 4 partial awakened limbs at will. Before against Rigaldo she had to do the transformation gradually but here she did it instantly.

I think it was not Claire Priscilla was referring to, it was Rafaela-Luciela who have finally moved/awaken after just spouting out projectiles in random directions.

It was Clare. She turned in her bladed form like in Pieta and the next panel she's back to normal. It can't be Raciella since she's already fully awakened. If you read the insert text on the last page it says something like Clare awakened like in Pieta but some kinda accident occured. If refering to Clare somehow returning to normal after turning in her bladed form.

I have to agree Priscilla was talking about Clare's scent. I don't know if it's because of Teresa, though, and sort of doubt it. Remember Priscilla didn't kill Clare back then, so there's something special about her that is bothering Priss.

I initially thought Priscilla tore off Clare's awakened limbs, but the text at the end seems to say that didn't happen.

Also, it's hilarious Helen and Deneve are treating Priscilla like a potential threat without any sense of her capacity. The Claymores were always terrified of Isley and Riful, and here we've got a monster worse than them and they're only at danger sense level one, for example. Engage the enemy cautiously.

been so long since the last one I'd forgotten the horrible cliffhanger. and now, this entire chapter was kind of "fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuck" with a big FUUUUCK at the end

Yeah, it seems to me as well that Claire... somehow... fell out of her awakened form instantly... somehow. Did Priscilla do it?

...and she just one handed countered everything. here were already uber characters out of Clare's league, and priscilla EASILLY killed them... I just can't figue out how the hell that fight is supposed to ever be won.

It's kind of Guts and Griffith all over again... at least Guts is getting magic armor and dimension reaving swords and help from witches and fairies and stuff... in Claymore they've gotten only a little stronger, by comparison. and AFTER 7 years of training. and AFTER having unleashed their inner monsters already. I just... have no idea what the hell the series is going to do. Outside of Clare like, getting more pieces from even more claymores... she's already got parts of 4 or 5 of em inside her

Pre-timeskip Priscilla didn't kill little girls. It wasn't because Clare was special. Priscilla even let Ophelia live when she attacked her village.

Maybe it's Teresa's flesh that forced Clare out of Awakened mode. Teresa had fantastic control over youki, enough so that I think had she ever awakened 100% she would have been able to come bak. I wouldn't be surprised if that hidden power "awakened" to stop Clare from throwing her life away.

Gernot has Priscilla's last line translated as "You can't awaken, can you?" So yeah looks like Priscilla had nothing to do with Clare reverting back to normal.
