I really enjoyed this chapter, but like everyone else I'm getting annoyed at Priscilla's godliness. I'm not criticising Yagi's writing because I think Yagi is a great mangaka. Rather I'm saying I don't like the character of Priscilla because of her kill everyone attitude, but thias enriches the series. There's gotta be some enemy for the heroes to face. It will be interesting to see how Priscilla is eventually taken down.

Pricilla's personality changed too much. what happened? she was a sneaky and irritating character... and now she is acting like an almighty god... damn it I wish one day she gets pwned by some other character.... hope the monsters from the other continent pays her a visit... lol

She regressed to childhood. Her current personality makes sense if you consider her to be like 9 years old, but a 9 year old who's lived for 100 years.

its a bit interesting to see her awaken and in her full power trying to fight back or least show that he is just a pest. however i thought that we would see more of raki and maybe have isly more in the story. i kinda liked isly and the lion guy they called silver eye or something, can't remember. It was too fast killing isly and the the other awaken one. Now its really getting interesting cos we don't know what gonna happen and who will be doing what but theres still room for claire to get stronger

Hopefully Claire will get stronger. We never know she might be the kind of character who takes out opponents by figuring out their weaknesses. She might get brute strength though, she just seems to be quite overshadowed atm.

I think its odd that Viz requested the removal of a bunch of series, but NOT Naruto, OnePiece, Bleach, HunterXHunter, Hikaru No Go... basically anything in the shonen jump line.

You'd think a cease and desist would apply to all their properties on the site.

Wonder if its sales related and its the series they think scanlations are really eating the sales on that were targetted first? Whereas the bigger things they consider free advertising?

Or maybe they just have multiple departments and multiple C&Ds to send out.

If the Claymore C+D is real and not just a mature series removal with the intent on demonizing VIZ (which I approve of), by now, it should be pretty obvious VIZ Media is intentionally allowing the piracy to go on. One doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to see that every other US manga company employee can use Google, and if they have sent C+D's to Onemanga before, it's absurd to think the richest one VIZ is so stupid as to not be capable of the same. A selective C+D would suggest that Claymore sales aren't high and the majority of fans are only getting it online. Given the pace, I can't say I disagree - the only two other monthly series I know of that aren't obscure and are still widely available online are the most popular, FMA and SE.

I think the real litmus test is how fast VIZ Media responds to the Nick Simmons fiasco. If they really do scoop up a case against him, it should be pretty freaking evident VIZ is taking a blind eye to the WSJ pirates, especially since most of the side-by-side comparisons were done using scans. :/

Actually, this may be exactly the case. After I read your post, I went and looked up Elfin Lied and this is what it says:

Notice: Because has requested that we remove Elfen Lied from our site, all chapters have been removed until further notice. We're trying to see if we can put it back up, but for now no Elfen Lied >__<".

As you may or may not know, EL isn't licensed by anyone. So since there's no company mentioned in the post, Claymore is probably just gone because of the mature removal. I guess we'll see when all the mature series are back up :P

Claymore is gone because of the mature removal at OM. Has nothing to do with Viz. It might end up returning or not. We won't know until onemanga posts the list of what mature series its keeping. If it was a C+D all Viz series would be gone. When Darkhorse gave onemanga a C+D they took down all series that is licensed by Darkhorse.

Paricularly wierd when RIGHT ABOVE that, they have a note saying

When, at the end of the chapter, characters are still in pretty much the exact same moment as they were at the end of the previous chapter, consistently, and its *just* a fight scene, then the release schedule is a problem, and its one Claymore has had for a while now.

Claymore, as of late, only accomplishes stuff every 5 chapters, its practically Bleach pacing. Here we still have the same characters quaking in fear of Priscilla, trying to get away, and Priscilla pwning everything... 5 months later. Aside from Clare's freak out moment, this is stuff that could have been done in 20 pages. 150 and counting, is a bit much.

This chapter, and the last half dozen before it, would have been fine as weekly chapters. Or even as bi-weekly. As a monthly? Not so much.

The Golden Week Claymore chapters are usually short. Like 20+ pages which is weird since by being monthly it shouldn't be affected. Guess Yagi likes to take a break during that time. As for regular chapters, page count has dropped alot though recently. It used to average 40+ pages a month but now 30+ is the norm.

I didn't enjoy the chapter, I agree the short length hurts and damaged the development. If not for that last footnote at the end - PRISCILLA REGAINS HER MEMORIES - I would not have understood what was going on from the dialogue alone.
