We were discussing ways that Moria could use his powers, we also stated that it would be cool if there was another body inside of him, like he was in a puppet or halloween costume.

And I stated that it wouldn't be cool, it'd be the worst idea ever. I even gave my reasons why. Too cliché, already done before with Wapol. What exactly brought you to the conclusion I didn't understand what you were saying? Because I don't think it's OMG TEH BEST IDEA EVAR?

And don't you find it downright ODD that you happen to be one of the only people who don't like that idea? because there are plenty of people who love that idea who have said that in other "chapter" discussions.

That's called having different opinions. Which is what message boards are supposed to be, you know, exchanging opinions, if possible in a formal tone except when someone gets his panties in a knot cause his precious theory isn't well received.

Not ONLY that, but it seems that you aren't even contributing to Moria's other technique ideas.

I trust Oda to give him some insane abilities, a shadow controlling fruit gives him a lot of potential. Like manipulating his own shadow as we've already seen last chapter or using the shadows of the surroundings, why not to travel from shadow to shadow, or create soldiers out of them etc etc.

Barring his head, I like Moria's design, and would rather it didn't change. If he did open up, it's be more likely that he was filled with shadow or something. Frankly, I'd love the possibilities of Moria using other shadows from objects and such as weapons. Even better if he had some physical fighting ability, and could double-team his opponents, making them fight both him, and Doppelman at the same time.

Moria is awesome win no matter what he does, and whatever crazy shit Oda comes up with, I'll probably enjoy. I think another possibility is Moria may be able to switch place with his shadows, as in Luffy is about to attack Moria, and BAM, his shadow is there instead.

ok, now that your cards are on the table, I'm going to go ahead and agree with Aldrich. That is a stupid idea. I mean his ability is shadows. Having him be a puppet inside would be unnecessary.

We've barely seen the basics of his shadow manipulation, of which so far I am really enjoying. I don't see how you are complaining that he isn't powerful enough from the whole 4 pages weve seen him fight(all in a badass reclined position mind you)

I also like his character design. We don't need more generic "kewl dudes" like lucci and every naruto character. We need more clowns with shoelaces tying their chins together.

This idea borders "Hatori is controlling Lucci like a puppet" retardation.

By Oda? As previously stated the only instance I can remember Oda telling us anything about the bounty system is through Aokiji, saying it's not only about strength... Which I never denied. But it's still MAINLY a powerlevel ranking. Being stated "a hundred million times" by internet manga nerds is worth jack.

So ussop could take arlong?(same bounty as luffy's initial one) and Chopper has a powerlevel of 50?

It's your strength and threat level in the eyes of the government. Luffy didn't get stronger between arlong and croc, he just beat a more significant figure in the government's eyes. Just like zoro got a bounty for fighting bounty hunters, which caught the governments eye, unlike getting them for beating undeground criminals.

It's not a powerlevel ranking, because those are useless in one piece, since fights rarely come down to physical strength.

And most of those who have a bounty on their head are a threat to the WG because they're powerful superhumans who can't be dealt with easily by the Marine or CP9. There can be exceptions like Robin (though she still is a powerful fighter and her bounty doesn't seem to contradict her powerlevel), but not everyone with a large bounty on his head got it because they can resurrect world destroying weapons and expose the WG for the lying despots they are.

That isn't what we mean by "threat level". Basically bigger bounties attract bigger and better bounty hunters. The government gives bounties on their estimation of how strong they think the targets are, and what kind of money would interest a hunter who can take them. It is by no means supposed to be an accurate measure of their strength, since luffy when he was 30,000,000 could still take enel, and croc, and other enemies he beat up to enies lobby, which was the first time the mugiwara's were rivaled in physical ability, so it was the first time they stepped up their game or "leveled up" really.

And how can you "piss off the man" in a shonen mainly based on one on one fights? Luffy got his bounty cause he was strong enough to destroy a thousand Marines, two CP9 and escape a Buster Call alive. Had he been weaker, his "declaration of war" would have ended with him being turned into minced meat and he'd have stayed a 100 million berries worth pirate for the entirety of his short life.

......wtf? Don't see your point. We aren't arguing that luffy isn't worth 300,000,000, but that his power level isn't 300,000,000. He got a bounty update BECAUSE he was blamed for destroying enies lobby, not because the government read that number off their scouters.

Of course he's the most powerful character with a known bounty seen so far. He's a fucking lightning Logia with pseudo psychic powers and the ability to blow up islands.

Yea, but the only reason he got away with so much was because of how closed off the sky islands were from the rest of the world. On the Blue Sea he would have been strong, but he wouldn't have been all powerful since lightning is probably easier dealt with on the blue sea, since they have to deal with thunder storms and there are just stronger people. I mean Oda stated himself that lucchi could beat enel(rubber gloves probably), and really, if you gave ace or aokiji a god complex and slapped them on an isolated island, they would have seemed all powerful too.

Here let me put what I believe would be an interesting twist in my own more detailed words. Moria needs a skin outside, similar to a shell, a drawback of having the Kage Kage no mi is that he can't go into the sun, similar to shadowless people, so in order to survive he needs a skin around him, even if TB is shadowy, he plans on going to the New World eventually, so he planned to put it on him so he can work well with it, and not be slow and clumsy.
@ Kamei - I agree, that would be really surpising. He's probably a Yonkou though, so why would he be around TB?
