I'm guessing that the crew would defeat Oz, but be left barely standing. Then Luffy finally finds his way and beats the crap outta Moria. Or something along those lines. Now that seems more One Piece-ish to me.

Hmm.. Kuso IX Kuso, I'm guessing that will be less likely to happen. The thing with Cindry worked because she was a majorly kind-hearted soul in the first place, and the will that stayed in her body after her death sort of "took over" the shadow placed in her. But Oz, on the other hand, was some legendary demon criminal lord from some frozen island. I don't think appeal to emotions would work well against him. Even so, Luffy's will is probably too powerful to be talked into, and that will is under Moria's control. In other words, my opinion is that they'd probably have to tank it out with Oz.

But that's just my opinion; you don't have to agree.

I wonder what happened between Shanks and Whitebeard too. I can't imagine either of them dying, so I think they probably stopped to talk it out or something.

That would be quite cool. Although, I think that he could beat Moria without going Gear 2nd to be honest.

Though I sorta disagree on that point, the most important thing is that pissed off Luffy looks soooo much more cooler in gear second^^

where did you read that Moria has to say "uncle" Bluebird?
Moria has to order the shadows to return to their original owners.

As kingoffans say makeing Moria give the order rescues everyone he has stolen shadows from, while just beating Odz, Jigorou and Dog-penguine will only save Luffy, Zoro and Sanji.

sorry, i meant "uncle" figuratively speaking. i read from a scanlation awhile ago, moria says even if a zombie is purified the shadows arent truly restored until he gives the official order. i got muddled i suppose when brook got his shadow back at his feet. and from what zoro sez apparently if they purify oz luffy gets to fight during the day, so what aspects of the shadow isnt "fully" restored? i guess this was my question, but its not that important as in one piece the ends dont need to be justified by the means. i just like to know technicalities

That scanlation got it wrong in that case. A purified shadow returns to the original owner, not to Moria.
