I think Stark is the #1 espada, he's probably so lazy because he knows nobody will be able to kick his ass even if he doesn't get up. He's also the only espada i've seen that hasn't had a shocked expression on his face.

I'm pretty sure the old guy's never been surprised either. Just disgruntled.

Halibel and Oldman weren't suprised either. To be fair, we didn't see Halibel's expression, but she didn't seem to be suprised, based on what she said, and the Oldman was just pissed that Jarguy went and got himself killed, which isn't "suprised" per-say.

And FFA, that's the point, usually.

The only reason I don't want the old man to be #1 is because Yamamoto is also the strongest in soul society.

That'd make for a good fight, but I dunno, the only 2 old dudes being the strongest of each of their groups seems a bit cliche.

Definitely like this Old Guy more than Yamamoto, even though Yamamoto was also really neat.

Espada Old Guy has a bushier beard, uglier face, etc. And he's grumpy. ...And arousing.

I'm pretty much neutral on Stark and Halibel at the moment. I love lazy characters, but he also seems to be a character who might be inflicted with "lame sappy backstory ruins character" disease. Halibel has a chance to be interesting if she's not just COLD COLLECTED MAMMARIES.

Yamamoto fighting the old Espada is the only way it should be.

Stark's probably number one. He'd be a great opponent for some combination of Urahara, Ukitake, Kyoraku, or Isshin Kurosaki (while Ichigo takes care of Aizen or something). My guess is that Stark's el primero, Halibel's la segunda, and the unnamed one's el trecimo. And I'm also thinking that we could have a Yoruichi vs. Halibel and a Yamamoto vs. Evil Abuelo in our far futures, as it's been mentioned elsewhere.

I'm personally more concerned about the fights that are going on right now. Are they really going to kill off three Espada at once? Doubtful. My guess is that Noitora and Zomari cut out early, but Szael Apollo's going to go down to some ****ing bizarre supernatural pseudo-scientific nonsense.
