Barragan is as dead as Halibel: Kubo's building suspense and finally getting to Stark.

Aside from one of the few times I think Kubo actually kept us on our toes as of late (though the rest of the time he's still crap), I sort of don't get the whole aspect of "multiple Arrancar fusions" anymore. I know that essentially a Hollow eats others to become stronger until a certain point (thereby being a fusion in some ways by ingestion), but from there it just gets weird on whom stays one mind and who becomes multiple. Aaroniero becomes a hive mind with "two heads" as we saw before and now we have the whole "Shinigami/Zanpakuto" bit with Stark...but what about the Halibabes and their suddenly convenient ability to create a chimera?

That's more like it but still not the same league IMO. While Konohamaru definitely covers the field of not being main cast Pain by then wasn't untouchable anymore since Jiraiya already was able to take out one of his bodies back then.

I still find it bullshit that barragan and halibel lost but I get the feeling that kubo is going to bring them back somehow. I'm going to laugh if the espada there were just illusions brought on by aizen.
