Typical Bleach slog
Typical Bleach slog
The games will never stop.
That's a little unfair. Naruto you expect to be inadequate because it has been steady declining since Part 2 started. Bleach has its badass moments... especially when it's not focusing on the main characters. It's just that sometimes Kubo tends to write himself into a hole or drag things out to a point where he realizes he needs to quickly change scenes, so he comes up with awkward transitions (as is the case here).
But yes, Bleach isn't all bad:
Spoiler:
Calling it now: Big Mom has the Sui Sui no Mi (Acid Acid Fruit).
yeah i'm going to hold out till the chapter comes out
WITH IN ALL OF US IS SOME KIND OF ANIMAL AND IT IS UP TO US IF WE CHOOSE TO RELEASE IT - WORDS FROM A LAZY WHALE
This amuses me terribly, tbqh. I mean, I expect Aizen to seriously pull out some plotkai and reveal a whole new batch of Espada, but even so... it just makes me question Aizen's effectiveness as a villain. His espada haven't killed a single shinigami in this "war." Can we talk about that, actually?
I mean, besides putting some gel in his hair and manipulating a few people (which any good villain can do), he's spent almost 100% of his time posing and posturing vainly and talking about how "he already took something into account" or how hopelessly futile what someone is about to do is. He reacts to nothing - but even in the case of villains like that (e.g. Rob Lucci) - it's not like you can form an emotional connection with his actions. He's almost as interesting to watch as Ichigo, which is to say: he puts me to sleep.
Why Aizen dazzles Bleach fans as a villain when it seems he makes some pretty spectacular cockups all the time is really confusing me. Letting Ichigo go repeatedly, letting Orihime go, leaving the Espada he left in Hueco Mundo behind, failing to have any of his arrancar destroy the pillars ('cept that one), failing to have any of his arrancar kill ANY shinigami, ever, letting himself get sealed away by Yamamoto and saying "oh, it's cool, I won't need to lift a finger," ...making the Vizored and letting them run about willy-nilly... and the list goes on.
Yeah, Aizen, I'm real impressed with you. /sarcasm
I wonder when Gin, Tousen, and Aizen will show their hollow forms...
Aizen will have a mask that looks like glasses.
Let me just air out my opinion and random batshit theory:
First off Bleach's pacing actually makes it less entertaining to me than Naruto sadly, atleast when I'm not reading Bleach in bulk.
Now theory: Aizen purposefully tried to arrange a fight between Ulqiourra and Ichigo. Aizen knew all along that Ulqiourra had a second transformation and that he and Yammy were the strongest Espada also he had sensed Ichigo's potential which is why he had Ulqiourra evaluate his power and he wanted to lure Ichigo to HM (by using Orihime) into a fight with Ulqiourra in order to complete his Vaizard experiment by pushing Ichigo into transforming into the next stage of the hollowfication (the Ichigonator thing), this stage is probably equal in power to a Vastro Lorde (which Aizen has been searching for) Aizen will probably try to control Ichigo with the Hougyoku.
/theory
I wouldn't be surprised if the Vastro Lorde are like the Demon Kings from YYH, I swear Ichigo's transformation is screaming Raizen possessed Yusuke, including the deus ex machina nature of it and the hair reaching to his buttcrack.
I'm pretty sure the Espada who are the higher tiered ones are vastrolordes. Aaroniero clearly stated he was the only Espada who was a gillian, and we know that Grimmjow used to be an adjuchas, and only ate parts of his fraccion so he could advance - they think he can become a vastrolordes. In chapter 197, the outline of the vastrolord fits Ulquiorra perfectly. If there's only one gillian in the Espada, I think it's safe to say that all the others are adjuchas or better.
I honestly don't expect Kubo even remembers the significance of a vastrolorde in the whole tier-ranking of hollows.
I can't believe that bastard. The potential damn it, can you imagine how sexy Starkk and Hallibelle's love child would be? Unless Hallibelle is pregnant, and Urahara takes her in to raise the child I am deeply deeply disappointed.
Ichigo is hooking up with Orihime and Hiyori and Shinji are getting married, but Arrancar get no love. I miss my soap operas.
this is more disappointing than that time we all learned about yammy being the 0 espada

This is more disappointing than Hitsugaya getting cut in half, bleeding, speaking, and turning out to be an ice clone the next chapter.
I have no idea why I still bother with this.
Ururu and Kon are the only characters I like :/
I think we still bother because Kubo sometimes can do a memorable moment or fun power...you just have to slog through the 99% of the crap that the rest of the series is.
BTW: nice touch in this week's filler with Shunsui and the Hanafuda card...with what we know now, it feels appropriate.
Y'know, Negima WAS awesome...
For the first 18 volumes.
Bleach contains mediocre character designs, no backgrounds, poorly choreographed fights, a seriously flawed tier system, and a lame, repetitive plot.
I don't even know why I still read it every week, or why anyone would claim to be "a fan" or it. O_o
I don't know, I hear a bunch of people are in for it for the Yaoi pairings.
