One Piece: Unlimited Cruise - Episode: 1 & 2 (PAL Releases Announced)

Are we really supposed to think of Tom as Franky's father? Yeah, he raised him and taught him how to be a man, which definitely makes him Franky's father figure, but we don't really know Franky's biological father (and I always wondered what that guy in Franky's family meant when he said that Franky's father was a pirate... Tom or... ??)

Anyway, stoked to play UA next month. Can't wait to see screenshots of the new games--2 parts! I bet the first game will have a focus on W7 and the CP9 and the second game will be Thriller Bark oriented. All I want is to beat ass as a bony afro. That's all I want. Some Sunny controlling would be sweet too. Funny how almost all of the OP games give you none of the sense of sea exploration...

I always thought the Island exploring and sailing aspects of Zelda: Windwaker would go well in a One Piece game.

that's exactly what i was thinking of! a lot of people complained about the sailing aspect of windwaker, but it was what i loved about it! nice avatar, btw... just beat bellum yesterday!

I'm sure Unlimited Adventure will be great. I'm gonna have high hoeps for this game too! One Piece should be Adventure games, that's what One Piece is, an adventure.

An adventure through generic islands fighting through hordes of generic baddies isn't though.

Really though. Adventure felt like they took a rejected adventure title concept, and slapped one piece in it(Starfox adventures anyone?)



While RUSH had tons of cameos in the stages, cutscenes, and even movesets.

So I still feel that the grand battle games were better one piece games than the adventure ones ever will be.

The only Grand Battle game I played was Grand Adventure, and while it was a fun game, sometimes it felt too...I don't even know what word to use, I guess it felt too 'partyish'. What with all the items and stuff, not to mention the cutscene supers were extremely cheap. Didn't really like the chibi style, either.

This is basically just a free roaming adventure game, which is more fun than just straight fighting like in the Grand Battle games. Seriously, if they would implement a story mode that takes you through the story arcs in the manga, while keeping the same adventure system, it would be the perfect OP game.

Stage design, Cameo appearances by characters NPC's, and just the overall movesets, made the Grand battle games awesome One Piece games in my mind.

and I just don't think any anime game will ever inspire an adventure title worth playing. So far only Dragonball advanced adventure is the only exception.

That would suck for me. In my circle of friends, I'm best at GB. Therefore, as soon as a match started, I'd get destroyed by everyone at once.

I was happy about a sequel! Sicne UA is coming to america, Unlimited Cruise has a decent shot as well. But probably not till we get to W7.

Why? We got Unlimited Adventure when we're just NOW starting Skypiea. There's no reason they should delay this one to be released over here when they didn't UA.
