Lol. The Win7 thing would affect me more than anything and this seems stupid:

Microsoft argued to Shaw that a United States ban would be unfair to consumers, who would have limited options. Shaw declared Nintendo and Sony could pick up the slack.

Not for Win7 they wouldn't. I'm incredibly interested in how this is going to play out. They can't just declare an operating system (or a console for that matter) that millions of people use illegal.

Which still would probably affect Windows more than Xbox. Microsoft is close to releasing the 720 anyway probably and pretty much anyone that wants a 360 would already have one. Windows 8 is coming out, sure, but the way Microsoft is handling it is alienating a lot of people so if people want to build/buy a computer they're mostly going to want Windows 7. If it's illegal to sell it though, that's a big problem as it forces them to either get an operating system that nobody wants, or having to go with an even more alienating OS (if they've used Windows all their life) like Mac or a linux distro.

It's a very strange situation regardless.

Now that I have a job... I'm thinking of getting a 360. It's foolish really as I have a huge PS3 backlog and I prefer to get my games on PS3, the 360 is 7 years old, I don't wanna pay for online, and I don't care about Halo. That... yeah... money makes you an idiot.

Anyways, I went through a list of games the PS3 doesn't have that I'm generally interested in:

Splinter Cell Conviction isn't much of a Splinter Cell game. It's a third person cover shooter, not a stealth game. Don't get Left 4 Dead, get L4D2, it has all the missions from L4D as well as new ones. Crackdown is decent but I heard Crackdown 2 was terrible. Can't say much else about the others. It seems like you're thinking yourself that you don't want one with all the downsides you're listing.

Oh, I want one... it's the matter of not needing one. Also by L4D 2 having all the missions of the first... you mean it contains the entire first game or merely the same missions with the L4D2 characters?

I think it contains everything from the first game. I'm not positive but I remember reading that people were pissed over it because it came out just a little after the first one and pretty much made having the original game meaningless. You might have to look around yourself though.

This DLC will also feature the three original campaigns for Left 4 Dead, Death Toll, Dead Air, and Blood Harvest, as well as the later addition of Crash Course. They will be ported over to Left 4 Dead 2 in a similar fashion with No Mercy when The Sacrifice was released, featuring the Left 4 Dead Survivors.

The only problem is that I don't know how you would get them on the 360. I bought the game on Steam and all this was included, but I think you might have to pay for them on the 360.

I'd be perfectly up for getting it on Steam, but I need to know if my laptop would be able to run it decently. This is why I really wish more Steam/PC demos would come out. Speaking of my laptop running shit, I guess Witcher 2 would be another thing to get on 360 considering my laptop can barely run it ($30 well spent).
