Well, it could be, as the movie is supposed to celebrate the anniversary too.

My main reason to think they're pulling a Bleach is that Strong World has nothing to do with Luffy's little adventure in ID, so if it's called a 'movie related special", it should be a prelude of some sort..

I thought it was weird too, but it's straight from the new Shonen Jump issue.

i see it this way:

all the (remaining) material of chapters 524/525 along with luffy entering ID should make up 422-425...
followed by the 4-part lead-in special to movie 10 , than right back into ID

421 we already know is zoro and brook's whereabouts

There's no way they can fill three episodes with marines arriving at Marineford and Luffy + Hancock entering ID.

Yeah, I think the easiest way is more 4 fillers episodes before Impel Down, maybe showing the cover stories for the crew, maybe showing BW...

It would be better than showing 4 episodes of Luffy going into ID, then 4 movie related episodes, then back to the story...

yes they can!

- long recaps
- small filler in it to extend upon conversations and or scenes
- milk it as bad as enies lobby when it got to the fights

and possible other reasons, like stare contests...

"A Life-threatening Break-in! Breaking Into the Underwater Prison Impel Down!"
"Kesshi no Sennyū! Kaitei Kangoku Inperu Daun Sennyū!" (決死の潜入！海底監獄インペルダウン潜入！)

Looks like the previously mentioned fillers will be put in the middle of the Impel Down arc instead of before it.

Something everybody is overlooking about the Movie Tie-in specials, so I translated the titles myself

426: Movie Tie-in Special: Moving Towards The Gold Lion's Ambition. (And No, the word used isn't "Haki")
427: Movie Tie-in Special: Little* East Blue is the Target
428: Movie Tie-in Special: The Amigo Pirate Crew's Fierce Assault
429: Movie Tie-in Special: The Decisive Battle! Luffy VS Ralgo

For Episode 427, it calls it "Little East Blue". Little isn't a descriptive word, it says "Riitoru iisuto Buuru", "Little" is part of the title. Maybe this isn't the normal East Blue?

i don't get it, impel down will begin for four episodes and then they will leave the arc for one month to put the movie specials? i love the idea of the episodes connected with the movie but is HORRIBLE to begin seeing something and then to be left in the middle, i think it would be much better if toei put the special episodes now and then to start impel down if not this is like bleach when they leave the main arc to put fillers =(

And you're surprised by this?

In Enies Lobby, they got right up to the "Jump Into the Fall" Scene which is right where the fights begin, IE the exciting part. then they added a 5-Episode "Flashback" Filler arc where they re-showed all of the Straw Hat's Backstories.

At least this filler arc includes good stuff we want to see, not the same flashbacks we'd already seen before.
