Spoiler:I thought the episode was a tad underwhelming. They fucking killed a child and they kinda swept the whole thing under the rug. I mean I'm sure it'll be important later but emotionally wise, it wasn't as dramatic as it could have been.
Other than that, it was a good episode with some great moments but I was really expecting it to be a great episode.
Oh and was anyone else monumentally pissed at how they censored Mike's note to the DEA? Jesus fucking Christ, that was fucking stupid. Talk about effectively ruining a great scene. Takes you completely out of the story. This is a series where people (including children) are murdered, dissolved in acid and flushed down the toilet and they can't even say the word "fuck"? They've even said the word once in a previous episode. Just so stupid.
Spoiler:Killing the kid resulted in this episode. It's why Jesse and Mike want out, and it'll lead to the [probable trouble] of next episode. This Declan guy seems like he'll be trouble, and they would never have met him had it not been for that kid's death.
Now, on the emotional level, you have to look at who you're dealing with. After Jesse shared his feelings with Walt, Walt whistled. He's a monster and probably would have shot the kid if Todd hadn't been so quick. Mike doesn't show his emotions. Todd, well that guy is exhibiting some serial killer-esque qualities. Jesse, I'm not sure what else he could have done. Him pulling out is probably that emotion. He's stopped working with Walt before, but he was always going to continue on his own, but this time he pulled out of the business. For good.
With the kid "missing," his relevance is far from over. His death is what will bring about the fall of Empire Heisenberg.
