Hey Kenichi I invited you here to tell you something but since the girls were fighting for a bit I forgot what I had to say so this was a complete waste of your time, sorry!

Oh yeah! I even forgot that there was a reason for them all being there lol. That was a pointless chapter.

What a lame chapter! Aside from the aforementioned pointlessness of Kenichi's meet, was the point of this arc to set up a rivalry between Miu and Atlantis? This seems to be foreshadowing another fight. Cause it looks awful.Miu literally has nothing against this girl, and is attacking only in self defense. Hell, she can't even pay attention then. On top of it all, last fight whatsherface's speed was her main draw, yet according to her Miu is faster. This gives her nothing in the next fight, and us no reason to want this rematch. I mean, sure it's implied she training, but still you took away the other girl's main strength here.

Also, I hate whatsherface. Her only motive for trying to kill Miu is jealously over a boy who she doesn't even think likes her (though, I admit it's tough not to fall in love with sweet moves like this ). She's just awful. It also sucks this that this is this rivalry's only motivation. It's no Goku/Vegeta. Out of all the ladies in this series, I only hope this future fight doesn't take time away from a future Freya or Kisara fight. Their old fights were so much better! Hell, I'm getting more ashamed over time to admit I'd like to see a Rachael fight too (long story short, she's introduced in a fight club, yet her only fight sucked. I feel cheated). I'd love to see what her lucha moves could do when she's not making her parents ashamed of her.

Oh, the reveal that Miu's still got that berserker thing was interesting I guess. It's too little plot development for two chapters really.

Please, at this point I don't believe Miu gets through the day without wrestling an octopus.
Eventually all Shonen will get the Dragonball Kai treatment. I'm currently awaiting the perfection that will be One Piece with no filler whatsoever.

I'm also awaiting Bleach Kai. It will be the greatest joke in anime when it's ends in under 50 episodes. It'll be a great laugh.

People already summed it all up pretty well what these last two chapters were. Damn tease going nowhere.

I wonder who's going to be the next master in action that takes Kenichi on another trip.

Judging just by how long ago one master's exclusive arc was the next in line would either be akisame or kensei. I'd really prefer akisame his dry personality just makes me laugh whenever he fights.

I'm honestly starting to think that Matsuena had the story planned to the end of D&D and maybe a bit further, but after that he's just been churning out one arc after another on a faster pace without much forethought, which results in indescribably stupid and flat-out weird short scenes like this particular one we just witnessed. Nothing seems to have more than a minute bit of relevance to the main plot -- Seriously, how many of you thought we'd first meet Saiga like we did -- as the driving force for the recent arcs has often been a sandbox-like "What cool stuff I could do with my existing cast?" scenario, instead of carefully planning and then making something that would get us somewhere.

It's worrying. I've got nothing against cool sausagefest fights and the occasional fanservice page (found in every chapter!), but it'd be a real bummer if the main plot never finished in the way it deserves.
It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog. It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log. But when I get home to you, I find the things that you do will make me feel alright. You know I feel alright, yeah.

Well, I guess some filler arcs are to be expected from time to time. While I like HSK Matsuena isn't exactly the best storyteller ever, the quality is very irregular since some years ago.

The weakest point I have noticed recently is the lack of development or growth of the main character, not in terms of strenght but in personality.

Filler arcs are one thing, but for a filler to pretty much do nothing even it's own contained little universe is another. I kinda hope that Kenichi has one of his "Oh! He left without telling me anything!" panels in the next chapter. Honestly without having anything being said it looked more like a date lol.

Seems that the point of this two chapters was just to set some rivalry between Atlantis and Miu, it's pretty stupid yes but that how things are.

I would go so far to say that all the next to be fight with Ogata's disciples (Berserk and company) is just a big filler arc. Can't say I'm looking forward to it.

While I agree that these last two chapters were pointless, I wouldn't say that we aren't seeing any development. Like 3 chapters ago, kenichi got hit with a careless Apachai kick, and stood right back up. Remember when that killed him? Or sent him flying? Or knocked him out cold? To me, that was a big sign of his growth.

As for character development in other areas, I'd say the focus has been on Miu of late, rather than Kenichi. We saw her freak the fuck out when she thought Jenezad got him killed, showing the depth of her feelings for him, her father made an appearance, and now she seems to have an affinity for killing fist, rather than what she was taught. plus the whole brain-washing thing...

And this was all in the last arc. Which also killed off one of the Fists. And gave some Sakaki backstory. So you can't say things haven't been progressing, we're just in the consistently weak areas between major arcs in the story.

Oh well, I still thought these chapters were charming in their own way, if a bit pointless. It was nice seeing Ryuto again.

Um...Miu? That's a nice effect and all but it doesn't answer the question.

We got a nice balance of characters this chapter, hopefully the action it's foreshadowing will happen soon.

Aw shit the mountains! Yeah sorry. I get the intention, but the idea of this spoiled net idol training in the woods is absurd.

well thats essentually where martials arts was born. The monk from india that taught those chinnese buddist monks trained them in the mountains after he meditated for a couple years.I'm suprised they just throwing this

out like it never happened but the demon god fists took his daughter and Saiga still cares for his daughter so he had it coming I guess. And lastly after all the big body parts in this chapter to end on Rimi's made me feel sorry for her for being flat chested compared to miu , renka, and the jujitsu lady

I find it weird when some artist draw nipples like that. They have this weird double tiered thing going on. I've never seen that in real life so I don't know why they draw it that way.

As for plot. Reimi is very uninteresting...And I'm wondering if the next Master we see in action is going to be Kushinada, and as a result Kenichi getting to putz around with Akisame.

I guess Ogata would get pissed if all his disciples are defeated, so I put my bet on him.

Kushinada seems to be a match for Shigure for various reasons: they already had a clash in previous chapters, Kushinada specializes in fighting against weapons bare handed and mostly for fanservice. Although I would prefer to see the two aikidio masters fight (Akisame's fight against the Destruction Fist is still my favourite in the series)

I just finished watching the anime awhile ago, what manga chapter should I start reading?

(I'm not interested in reading the chapters that were animated)
