Damn, those are just great *_*
Very nice effects !
I also love how you coloured Zoro's sword, especially the Kitetsu's handle and guard.
Zoro's belt is also genuinely done.

Next, can you do one of Hodi getting pwned?
Sorry, no more underwater adventures for me :x
Besides that one is like 70% of Jones, and he has the most horrible outfit ever :x My fashion sences creek when I look at it, not to mention having to bring it into colour.
Thanks guys~
Even though it still sucks ;_; Boobooboo
^Get Photoshop.
Otherwise, you chose good colours for each field, BUT, the sky should be as light as the water, and palm trunks ain't dark green.
Paint.NET can work just as good as photoshop, or even the SAI paint program.
Feedback--try using shading techniques and don't be afraid to mess around with the light source~
What you did was just using a bucket tool. Never do that ever. Especially not on PNG scanned ink pages.
And stop writing in horrible fonts.
... what? xD
Try deviantART for some tutorials. There are a ton there. And shading and light sources are not buttons you can push on photoshop. To shade, you make parts of an object darker and some lighter, depending on where the light source (the sun, for example, or a lamp) is. Ever look at your arm outside? The part at the bottom is darker than the part at the top. That's because the sun is giving more light to the top part while there's less light at the bottom. That make sense?
Wait. What did you think was a special pencil?
I am guessing he meant like a special pencil tool in the program.
Well, I don't use photoshop. xD But you have to shade yourself. Example: to shade a shirt you get a color (red, for example), and color the shirt red. Then make the red you chose slightly lighter and paint over the red to lighten some places, or darker, and paint over the red to darken some places. Does that make sense?
GIMP has a dodge (Highlights and brightens) tool, it works pretty good for shading easily.
Glad to help, then~

Looking at the ice, this was done using the dodge tool in Gimp.
1) Stop writing doubleposts
2) Don't ever try to rely on digital tools. Do everything yourself.
I agree Alina, it is best to do it yourself, and quite a few don't recommend using the dodge tool. BUT, I don't know how much time he wants to put into an image, and he said he was a noob.
Winston, if you have questions about Photoshop feel free to ask me. I've been using it for some years, so I can probably help.
How do you do background layering with photoshop?
If anyone wanna use a clean lineart with ZoroVsHodi, I got one right here that I made.
