I actually would paint it, if it was actually requested. Smart ass.

Has anyone else coloured Samurai head? I'd really want to see other's predictions too. I'm surprised no one else had done it already. Well, not that there's a lot on him to colour~

You can colour without a request. I believe most of us colour for their own most of the time. I know I do.
Nolus, I think someone did paint Heady. If I recall it well, it was pictured as a redhead
Well I colored the face and bit of wing we saw from the Harpy last chapter. Using those colors I went on to color her appearance in 658.

I had made darker grey bands in previous image but did not show them here since all we see is the underside of wings not the topside.
LOL I finally finsihed my version of the samurai. I decided to go with dark blue for the hair. I don't know why, but I keep picturing the lining aroudn his eyes as red

Now I remember what I forgot! I wanted to colour the linings too. Well, that's too bad...
Nice colouring by the way;)
Guys, recently I got my hands on Photoshop CS5. Anyone knows a good way for colouring? So far I've been trying to select some parts with magnetic lasso and putting that on a new layer, than colouring with that Hud/saturation thingy. Is there a better way? Should I lineart? And how do I do that if needed? Thanks in advance o/
Too bad? Can you go back and do touchups?
Thank you Nolus, it means a lot coming from you![]()
Sorry can't help with the layers,I'm still having trouble with layers myself. I don't know how many do line art, I clean up by first using Paint.Net's Effects->Artistic->Pencil Sketch, then going to Effects->Photo->Sharpen, depending how dark or light the lines look, I my then go to Adjustments->Auto-levels.
After that, I look at the pic to see if there are gaps to close up, Oda often have spaces in the lines when two objects meet. Look at #4 and look at Ishilly's (the upside down mermaid) shawl on the left side, there is a gap in the line were another shawl is in front of it.
I do not use Atjust-Auto first because it will make things too dark, even shading within lines, by changing it to drawing first, that is taken of. Here is a sample of before and after looks so show the change=

Thanks, both of you, tough Katzztar's a little too tough for someone who have been using it for, dunno, 30 hours maybe? XD
It's just to do some random things. Mine always have something not coloured and such. Oh well, it's just to have some fun XD
So...when are you planning to submit your coloring LP?
Lacking a decent program to color/can't color worth crap.
Thought I'd give it a try since I haven't seen any yet of this particular picture. Messed up the front teeth and the shading on the cheeks pretty bad though...

Oh nice more coloring submissions. That samurai reminds of the artstyle found in Japanese woodblock artworks (ukiyo-e).
He would be perfect for you. Less details on the head, not too much curvy features...I remembered my first submission using PS CS4...It was messy as hell. XD
My current avatar is a work of mine. What do you think? Not bad for firsts?
