Colours prediction thread ver.2 (sp)

Looking back at your Monet, I like it a lot, and remember it now (I thought I commented on it though!).. It has a very evil looking skin tone, and colour scheme similar to mine for the clothes (minus green). I'm pretty sure it's one of the ones I took tips from for shading!

And holy murphy~! That is one bad ass looking Ronse!

Did you do a layer of lines, colour it and then delete them by chance?

Aw, don't worry, it's easy to mix 'em up when one of them had the astonishing number of 0 lines and 2 panels in the whole manga:D

Well, this drawing was sort of special, since there's no visible lineart layer. Of course I used one during my process, which simply was the original pencil drawing. I used to make ink linearts in Photoshop, but lately, I found it more satisfying to just use the scanned picture I drew.

Thanks by the way:) And if you need any help with layers, feel free to ask, even you don't work with PS. I believe Sai's layers work the same way as well.

Pfft, I named them because it was weird to call them "purple-haired-giant" and such :D

I considered trying to pencil art and scanning it to colour. But, me and drawing had a fall out a couple years ago, and I'm just not up for the grueling process of having to un-rustify myself. Thanks for the offer of help! You've definitely helped in the past with the tip of using multiply in PS, which is what I use for colouring. I just got Sai yesterday and I'm only gonna draw with it, I'm too used to PS now to try to figure out another program.<br>

@TheCrystalShip: It's not just the Giant Squad for me, I've just never really been all that interested in most of the Marines..Except for Smoker, Garp, Kuzan, and Onigumo (I even just had to look his name up because I forgot it!)..So keeping track of Marines we've barely seen is too much of a hassle for me, at least until they get more spot light/get named in the manga instead of data books.

Edit: And T-bone (Had to look his name up to, this is ridiculus!

I'm with you on layers, I'm terrible at using them..That's why I barely use them.
I can't wait to see some stuff once you've figured out Sai more! Your pictures are already awesome the way you normally do them, so it'll be exciting to see how different they are using a different program.

I guess Sai also has that multiply thing. But I advise you to try out what different layer types do with what kind of colours (darker, lighter). That's how I discovered some nice things.


Oh, don't you worry about that name thing. I'm a person who can't remember none of the characters' names after I watch a movie. Seriously.
I probably only remember their names because I just drew them a lot and such.

Help!

I've tried to down load SAI three times. each time it seems that the download goes well but when I try to open SAI, it won't. It says I'm not admin (I am) and does not anything.
Maybe its just the site I was using.

Edit - tried two different sites get same message says I don't have admin rights .... but I am only one to use comp and this is my only profile on comp.

Anyone knows what the HE## is going on? I'm getting ready to give up on Sai if this continues...

When I click on an application with the right mouse, somewhere, there's an option like " run as admin" or something along those lines.

I only use PAINT.NET to add the finishing touches like the 'soften portrait'. I put the darkening around the eyes to give him a more crazy look.

I really like it! It is a more serious look to him than we have seen from other coloring predictions, and I feel it suits the arc more.
