Lindsey begins Will Smith Month by reviewing Men In Black
I'm gonna love this month. I love Will Smith, he's my favorite actor. But man, Lindsay really hated MIB 2, the hate really came across in this review when she's usually...indifferent.
In other news, I had a dream that Todd took off his mask and he looked like a ginger goth...and I don't know why I had this dream.
Men in Black, even the first movie, was never as good as the tv series. That was pretty much pure excellence for most of its run.
The second movie was basically doing an Alpha story, but without Alpha. And a lot more obvious studio interference.
Bennet does his Anime Abandon thing with Perfect Blue

Always heard about that movie, but never really cared to watch it. This has adequately satisfied my curiosity.
I can't wait to see what he's gonna review....... oh. no.

Coppola's Dracula movie is bad too though.
It's those 70's movies that are just....
How in god's name is it the same man. I refuse to even beleive it.

I mean Apocalypse Now is my favorite movie, Godfather Part One maybe in my top ten too.

Plus if he's growing that fast physically why the hell wouldn't he mentally change too? I mean it just seems really stupid, he couldn't be mentally ten. He went through puberty and then some. His brain should be fully developed too among other things. He would only lack experience.
I mean I'm no scientist but that doesn't make any goddamn sense. I know enough to know most of what makes someone mentally an adult is biological and based around your growth.
It's like they wanted to make a movie about a retarded man, but were afraid of the controversy so they cooked up a stupid sci-fi explanation of why Robin Williams is going act like he's 5.
Seriously, I think this is even worse than Rob Reiner directing North.
Robin Williams just wanted some of that sweet sweet Tom Hanks BIG action.
Where the adult woman totally comes onto a guy that's she's aware has the mind of a child.
You know, for kids!
I just couldn't believe that they actually went to when he became an old man. They went there! And then they tried to ignore how freakin' horrible that is.

Life is weird like that sometimes.
Would you believe the guy who did this
Also did this?

.....I need context !
And yes they went there, and him being overjoyed that he's probably going to die about within a year, never manage to achieve anything, and dying alone. HAPPY.
Just like the ending to the flick where Williams plays a robot that wants to become human and, of course, he dies before he's recognised as one oficialy, and yet he was still happy with his life's goal being unfulfilled.
As a sidenote, I do want to see Doug review Mrs. Doubtfire, simply because......well, if you've seen the movie, you'll know.
In Bicentennial Man, it was kinda okay seeing as his goal was to become a true human and to do so he had to die...why am I defending another shitty Robin William's movie?
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
I mean God, I loved Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting which is one of my favorite movies. The man can act. So why won't he?

If you're referring to the images. The top one is Lone Wolf & Cub, a masterful manga about a ronin that returns home one day and finds his wife brutally murdered but his one year old son alive. He takes his son with him on a journey of vengeance to find the culprits.
The bottom image is Mad Bull 34, a crazy as fuck manga about two New York cops. One a half-Japanese rookie and the other a brickhouse of a man that shoots first, ask questions later, and fucks the nearby women because he can. Most of it involves the rookie getting scared by the insane things his partner does.
Both were written by the same person. Where Lone Wolf & Cub is considered a masterpiece, Mad Bull 34 is considered a joke.
And the Meek shall Inherit the Earth.
I've always got the impression that Mad Bull 34 is not meant to be taken seriously. It's at the very least entertaining. I watched a bit of the English dub before and it's pretty hilarious due to the accents they added.

Thank god, I seriously hated Jack. I hated it when I was a kid, and I hated it as an adult. The fact that he became old didn't even phase me as a kid, purely cause I hated him as a character.
Only thing I liked about the movie was the mother. The fact that she was so loving, regardless of everything. That's really touching. Favorite would have to be when she puts extra cookies in his lunchbox, knowing he's going to have a hard time.
