I *am* being nice! I only called them "boring fluffy non-reviews" which is exactly what they were. They offered no history or insight into the movies, personal opinion, or even jokes. For a string of a dozen films (Plus the non-reviews of Land Before Time which were all basically identical.) All of them, ALL of them, were just sort of "And here's the next movie in the line, here's the plot. Animation looked nice."

Not saying anything about the person making them.

I havent' seen the review yet, but I thought Temple of Doom was alright. It's better than Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but obviously doesn't quite reach the level of Raiders of the Lost Ark, or The Last Crusade. One of the biggest problems with it, as MK said, was Willie. I didn't think Short Round was as annoying as a lot of other fans, though.

I'd go more into the debate, but MarzGurl, bless her heart, actually did a pretty damn good job making the argument.

She clearly doesn't know much about the Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 fiasco, but she did her research. It's not the best argument against this stupidity, but it's good. ...She should do more stuff like this. I know she does sometimes, but it's far better than her reviews.

Crystal Skull was made just so Temple of Doom could stop being the bad one.

The actress is so, so annoying, I have trouble rewatching that one. The darker tone doesn't bother me, and i agree the raft is about as over the top as the nuked fridge (so I don't hold that against Skull). I actually like Short Round, he kicks ass a few times. ANd the set pieces are good, and Indy is in form.

But the girl is just so... ugh.

I'm behind Doug on this one. I always hated Temple of Doom. The characters are awful, the tone is excessively dark and I never felt the movie had a point to it. It just felt like let's come up with the most gorey, hard-core shit possible and cram it into one movie. And while I admit the movie has its moments of hard-core action that tickle me pink, the overall feeling the movie gives me is just...why?

It's better than Kingdom of the Crystal Skull though by miles.

Horrible movie, besides the third Indiana Jones movie (it was okay, nothing special) I think the rest is just awful. Yes, the first one too. It's just sad that people try to talk themselves to liking some of the older movies. It's great that Critic talked about the Temple, because a lot of people won't or can't. I'll probably won't see a bad review of the first one so that's as good as it gets.
Also - too much penis jokes in this review, I got bored with all the 'willie can also mean penis' jokes.
