Luffy's Mom

I was just wondering, throughout the series we've been introduced to a lot of Luffy's relatives, (Garp, Ace, Dragon, GOL. D ROGER!?!? jk) so will we be seeing Luffy's mother anytime soon? And if you think we will see her what do you think she will be like? Will she have any devil fruit powers? Will she be inhumanely strong? Or will she just a regular person in the One Piece world? I'm just curious what you guys think.

Well, I've been hearing theories that maybe Shakky is his mom. But it doesn't really make much sense...

My theory is that since Luffy's grandpa is a Vice-admiral, Dragon is a revolutionary and Ace is a pirate, maybe Mrs Monkey D. is the last Yonkou?? It's a theory at least.

That could be a lagitament theory. We never actually saw the last Yonkou's face. And all of Luffy's family is relatively strong, so his mother should be strong as well. It's iffy but I'm not shooting it down.

My theory has always been that Luffy's mom got a leeetle to close to uncovering the WG's secrets, so they had her killed, and that this is part of what drove Dragon to seek their annihilation.

I don't think Lola's mom is the last Yonkou, but I could be wrong. The theory that Luffy's mom died trying to get at the world governments secrets is a little more plausible than what I'm thinking right now. That gives a motive to why Dragon is the way he is. "Against" the World Government.

we don't know anything right now. She could still be alive and well. We'll just have to wait and find out.

What if Lola's mom is a Shichibukai?? A little bit of foreshadowing could be the fact that Lola was first introduced as a zombie animal

Man, then the crew won't get to fight her. If she finds out that Luffy helped out her daughter, than she'll probably die trying to protect Luffy from Kuma or another Shichibukai.

Not all of the Shichibukai have to be fought.. There's nothing so far provoking the Straw Hats to fight Doflamingo. Though, I guess the slave house could provoke something.. But he gave that up.

I guess your right. Not "everything" has to be solved with violence. But all the battles are just so full of imagery and uniqueness. I like watching them play out through each chapter.

Luffy's mom dying is a little generic but I guess I would buy it. Then again Dragon is a D too. He could just be on a crusade to overthrow the corrupt government which would be a good way for people like coby, helmeppo, smoker, tashigi, and hina to start the reformation of a fair government.

I've spoilered my long, off-topic viewpoint on the Shichibukai. As to the argument in favor of Luffy's mom being alive, it would break that particular shonen cliche, and she could certainly have an impact on the story, but...she hasn't even gotten a passing mention in over five hundred chapters. Luffy's existance is the only testimony to her ever having lived.

Damn. Now I want to see Luffy thrash someone mightily for making a "yo mama" joke.

Ever since Crocodile was revealed as a scheming bastard, I've been a little suspicious of the motives of all the Shichibukai. Between Moria, and the way Doflamingo worded his conversation to Disco, I'm now firmly convinced that every single Shichibukai is hoping for the Marines to take a significant loss. Whitebeard's move- whenever it happens- is both a godsend and a setback for them. With one of the Yonkou eliminated, there's less competition at the top. But, with the balance no longer in place, the Marines might eke out a victory against the remaining three and then turn their attention to disposing of the Shichibukai.

I've always thought that the WG killed Luffy's mom, which is why Dragon is now doing what he's doing, BUT, then why would Garp still be in the marines???
