Soul Eater COMING TO TOONAMI FINALLY

I just started reading this recently, and I think this could turn into an awesome series. It runs in shounen gan gan, and is currently on chapter 13. Manga-Rain has scanlated the first two volumes.

The story follows six servants of Shinigami-sama, and a shinigami-in-training, as they collect and devour evil souls. It's something like a cross between The Nightmare Before Christmas and Shaman King, with lots of sex jokes thrown in. The artwork is very nicely done, particularly the sun and moon.

By reading the review there, it also have reference/similarity from Kisei-ju (Omanga scanlates it, iirc)

2 years later...

I heard some people on various forums have the first 31 chapters RAW, but considering I'm only a member here (and only wish to be a member here) getting it from them is a problem. The Good News: This place has chapters 17-27 The Bad News: It doesn't have 13-16/28-31. So I ask (with sincerity) does anyone know where I can find the rest?

As far as impressions of the manga, the fight between the girl with no skeleton and the girl with the huge scythe is crazy...

Perhaps I misread... but are you saying that the art style itself lends to a possibility of fanservice or that there is fanservice in the manga? Because from what I've read, it pales in comparison to Fairy Tail (at the least) and thus not even close to some of the worst offenders. If you're just writing it off because the art looks like it can adopt some fanservice (I suppose if you get off to people with no skeletons...) then... yeah. Dumb.

Also this manga is nothing like Parasyte.

It has fanservice in it's first ch. (or what i believe was the first ch.1) with the magic cat girl. Not to mention the guy who wants everything equal with two HOT COWBOY BABES who aren't similiar. I also couldn't stand that Blackstar or w.e his name was also yelling about how great he was and nothing more.

I meant the art was well drawn in some panels and fights that's all.

I don't really read Fairy Tail or any other fanservice stuff so I wouldn't really know which manga to burp my worm to.

this manga is good, i think it has a mix of character diff's. what i mean is that, take Soul for example, i should think he is the hero or so and his group is the rest of the pack, but then wouldn't it be more wow to have him as a tech instead of a weapon - thats the twist and then there is BlackStar, a very capable tech who seams to be taking the spot light and is really coming to a very good spot .
When we look at the rest they are included but there is this twist that make it a very diff manga than Fairy Tale, ES21, or something of that sort.
it has really good drawing like Airgear and nice depth but not as capturing and mysterious as Naturo Shippuden or One Piece or HXH
straight out , this manga hits !!
if not tell me what u think is not.
