Long story short: Maka and Black Star reach the moon, start wreaking things. No word on the witches yet.

Not bad for action chapter but I'm ready to move on with the story.

Technically.....no, the anime only follows the manga up to when Shibusen fights Arachnophobia for the first time, then it takes it own path.

I'm not exactly sure what volume this translates into, though. Also, keep in mind, the anime has some other minor differences from the manga.....I'd give one, but I don't want to spoil it.

The manga's just as good as the anime, even more so. There's....currently 100 chapters out, I think?

On top of that, the mangaka even writes a spin-off manga called Soul Eater Not!.....which is great too. :)

Yay, you actually continued to watch it. Odd how fanservice kinda faded after a few episodes huh?
Like MetaMario stated, the manga is better (though the Anime is still very good on several different levels. A shame it had to go Full Metal Alchemist.)
The manga introduces a lot more interesting characters too and puts a twist on ONE of the characters (not spoiling it).

Haha yeah. I had taken two attempts to get past the Cat Witch fan service and the Creepy vibes Spirit gave off the first couple of episodes. Kid and Black Star were what kept me hooked and willing to try again.

Well, I would recommend you read a good chunk of the main manga first, if you ever want to read the spin-off.

Soul Eater Not! takes place in the same universe (ex. Maka, Black Star, and Kim all appear), but yeah, it's less action-based and a little more humor-based. Still has a good cast, I think, even if I like the main manga more.

At any rate, I hope you enjoy either manga series.
