I guess I just have strange tastes...oh well. :mellow: I've just been wanting to see the plant guy fight for awhile now.

For the Akatsuki, so far there are: Itachi (leaf), Kisame (mist), puppet-guy/Sasori (sand), clay-person/Deidara (was it sand or rock?), plant guy (??). (Am I forgetting somebody?)

Anyway...for the remaining members, maybe there will be...an evil bug guy? (from Shino's clan or something) I dunno.

If I remember correctly, Deidara was from the Sand Village. I would like to see another bug user like Shino, heck, I'd like to see more of Shino. The guy gets so little screen time.

EDIT: Never mind, I checked the chapters with Deidara, it looks like he/she is from the Stone Village.

Yeah, I always like it when Shino appears. I also want to learn more about him. I'm sure he'll appear with some new techniques...maybe he'll make a cool entrance or something.

I'm not saying you are wrong...but how do you know? Where does it say so? I can't find it anywhere in the translations/scanlations on my computer (it doesn't say whether they are male or female).

Lots of forums are saying it's a guy...because he/she refers to themselves with masculine words or something (in Japanese...sorry, I don't know much about it). But this could either mine Deidara is a guy, or just a girl who speaks like a guy (a tomboy? Or something like that).

Yeh, it seems to be pretty up in the air. I initially thought Deidara was a guy, but then there was some weird mistranslation that implied Sasori was her husband or something & confused everyone.

So I guess it'll be up to Kishimoto to confirm her gender, & stop all the speculation.

Well, Deidara calls Sasori "Sasori no danna" which I took to mean as "my husband Sasori" but then someone pointed out that "danna" can also mean master, so that may be it.

Also, Deidara refers to him/herself as "oira" rather than "watashi/boku/ore", but I'm not familiar with the term "oira" so I dunno what gender it's supposed to indicate, if any. Even "watashi" doesn't necessarily mean a girl, the only real, true male indicator is boku or ore. But I've heard that some tomboys are known to use "boku."

Ahhh, I dunno. But until I see someone call Deidara "kare/otoko" or "kanojo/onna" I will remain lost.

That or until Deidara takes off the Akatsuki mantle and we get a better look at his/her body. But even then we might not be able to tell.

And Sasori is called Lord Sasori by her/him.

'oira' is a more masculine term so there's a higher possibility that Deidara is a guy
Also, Deidara is from the rock village, you can clearly see it in chapter 248
I actually like fly-trap ninja, at least, I think the human part of him looks quite cool

Wow, just wow... got around to watching the one hour special (ep.127-128). Gosh&#33; that was mind numbing, so... boring. I don&#39;t think either episode went more than two or three minutes without some sort of flashback being shoved in our face. <_<

Yeah, he catches up with him about half way through the episode. The first half is just the conclusion of the fight between Kimimaro and Gaara.

It was a really boring episode. So many flashbacks, the Kimimaro flashbacks weren&#39;t bad but the ones that Naruto kept having...UGH&#33;&#33;

So uh, the 255 raw is out. It was about Team Gai this time, and uh...they still didn&#39;t do much. The Akatsuki started whatever it is they were planning to do with Gaara. I guess they were pulling out Shukaku.

Looks like Kisame and Gai are going to fight next chapter.

i&#39;m really sad that the anime is soooo boring since a couple of eps... i can&#39;t understand why...

but the manga kicks ass&#33; ep 255 is out and i&#39;m waiting to see how strong lee has become&#33; i just hope that gai&#39;s team won&#39;t be crushed by akatsuki&#39;s members (this should happen if more than one is coming...)

I enjoyed ep.129, the new OP/ED are pretty kickin&#39; & the Itachi flashback was actually pretty interesting . I haven&#39;t seen the 255 raw yet, probably because OP came out so early, I totally forgot... but I&#39;ll wait for the scan to pop up.

I haven&#39;t watched 129 yet, did the Sasuke/Itachi flashback end in that episode or is there more for the next? I remember reading this part in the manga and being really bored.
