I love the RE series, but as the story of the series ever been that clever save for maybe RE2 (which didn't have any real twists or turns, really)?

I'm not saying it's 'clone' bad, but still...

The clone thing seems more than legit.

It feels like the RE5 promo all over again when Capcom artificially created hype around Jill's death when It was so obvious to me that she was not. The Ada clone thing seems like a cheap trick to create drama of her being a villain and Leon vs Chris. No one's gonna die at the end.

I have a hunch that Helena, Piers, or both are going to die just to create drama, and give us a chapter where Chris and Leon team up. I like both of them so far, so I hope they don't die. Also, you never know about Jacob or Sherry.

Ada could die too.

RE5 was meh, but due to co-op it was also really fun. I'm a sucker for co-op like that. I platinum'd it.

To me, RE5 felt like they sacrificed alot of the really cool ideas from the beginning to hype up the co-op.

6 is looking pretty cool though, I'm also playing Revelations right now. I'm liking it better than 5 but still not as much as 4.

I actually really liked RE5. I like co-op, whether it's with other players or AI, and the AI wasn't too bad.

I met a really cool booster who I played through RE5 with, we've pretty much agreed we're going to be official co-op partners for 6 tho he's gonna wait like a year to see if a Gold edition comes. I should too, but I really wanna play it, but at the same time I won't be buying it new. Fuck, I ain't giving Capcom my money.

I don't think they would kill major character names but they would kill less known(the random men under Chris). Capcom is just too predictable, they are not Kojima. When I saw Solid Snake's appearance in MGS4, I knew from the get go that it was not a joke. I was genuinely sad and I had to accept it.

The new Resident Evil CGI film, Damnation, is coming out October 27th in Japan. As with the previous film, Degeneration, this film will be canon. Reason I'm posting this in the RE6 thread is because in the RE6 trailer Hunnigan references the events of the film as happening 6 months prior, meaning Damnation storywise could tie directly into RE6. Another interesting tidbit is that Capcom has said Rebecca will be in Damnation. <3 I hope they don't mess with her. >(

Oh god, I fucking hated Degeneration. That movie nearly ruined Claire for me, but now, possibly Rebecca?

Please...just please, don't suck Leon's dick as much as you did in the last movie, Capcom. God knows how that movie was supposed to be a 'LEON AND CLAIRE TEAM UP AGAIN', and instead it was 'Claire's wacky adventures with children and corny British dudes, while Leon takes down a massive BOW and makes out with random hot chick'. Then again, that title is giving Claire more information than her actual screen time.

I know people love Leon. I like Leon too, just...COME ON! We've had a game, a movie, and another game (where everyone wants to kill him for no reason) dedicated to Leon. Not to mention, have any of you read Sherry Birkin's backstory for RE6?

Well...technically that is true, since the ClaireA/LeonB scenarios is supposed to be the "canon" ending in which Leon did save her by getting that vaccine to kill the parasite implanted by her father.

I dunno, I should replay RE2 sometime.

For those who don't wanna click, basically there's a rumor that a new RE game for the 3DS is being made (called Downfall) taking place between RE5 & 6 and staring Claire. While it certainly is a possibility I am skeptical.
