I think Mewtwo is confirmed to be in HG/SS. Celebi is currently unobtainable as well, but he's bound to be in HG/SS.

Turns out it was just an announcement that Mewtwo is usable in some tournament, I thought it was confirmation he was in the game. I think they should still include him though.

I think it would have been a smart move to put the Celebi event back into the game, especially if these are supposed to be improved versions of the games.

No the pedometer is used for leveling up your pokemon when your not playing the game.

I've read somewhere that Kyogre is in Gold and Groundon in Silver. Is this confirmed or are both legendaries found in both games?

Yes and no.

I think you would have to press buttons or something on pokewalker to catch them. So I doubt teachers would like that.

Mewtwo is confirmed to be in, along with Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos and the 2 Latios/Latias twins. You can also get 1 of the Kanto and 1 of the Hoenn starters in the game as well.

The best news I've heard so far (according to Serebii) is that you can trade from Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum as soon as you get the Pokedex.

Which means with how many Pokedudes I've got stocked up in my Platinum game, an entire world of team-building opportunities are exploding before me.
