Game came out like 2 days ago in the UK. I chose Totodile as my starter.
My team so far:
Feraligator: Lvl 32
Pinsir lvl 18
Sudowoodo lvl 20
Raticate lvl 17
I'm only really using Feraligator & Pinsir. Others are just slaves for any HM moves i need to use. I hope to get my hands on some more worthwhile pokes as i progress through the towns. I'm just made it to Olivine city.
Does it sound weird for me to say that I love it when you just start out your journey? And you've only about 4 Pokemon?, And when their levels are really low?
I LOVE that part. It has a somewhat simplicity about it. When you start getting like 50 Pokemon. 44 of which just sit in a box the majority of the time, and they're all levelled 50+ I think that's when the game sorta jumps the shark ... but it's still enjoyable sorta.
You just have a weird Pokéfetish. That's all.
I had this dream where I was at Walmart and bought a DS for about 5 bucks along with a free copy of this game (forgot which version)
I woke up, disappointed to find out I had no DS anywhere in my house, I seriously regret selling my DS lite.....
Wonder where I can find a cheap DS. You know I still haven't sold my Wii but I'm having second thoughts.. Honestly I'd much rather have a DS than a Wii.
I'm in a good mood.
I recently had a dream... that Mewtwo was in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and he was solo at the highest tier...
. . .
. . .
Nah, don't do that.Wonder where I can find a cheap DS. You know I still haven't sold my Wii but I'm having second thoughts.. Honestly I'd much rather have a DS than a Wii.
Nintendo actually has some "decent" and "interesting" games coming out soon.

Yeah it's not that I want to sell my Wii it's just that I can't afford the DS and I really want this game.. Actually I found my old fat DS but I don't think it works anymore, I'm charging it right now but it won't turn on and I wanna know if it has as much light as the DS Lite.
If it does work, then I won't end up selling my Wii. I do want the new Zelda :|
YAY IT WORKS. Now I can actually buy the game!

Thanks! I already talked my sister into lending me some money towards the game since she grew up with Pokemon Crystal for GBColor and she wants a piece of this awesome-looking game.
Might get it around next week.

Just got the game and recently got my second badge (YEAH), seriously likely this new pokemon follows you outside the pokeball thing, wonder if they will continue to use this in future games?!
Also, I see alot of you guys are starting off with Cyndaquil (like myself), did anyone pick Chikorita?
I got the 16 things a while (though I'm focusing now on collecting...first w/ the Pokemon in Johto). Who here is offering Pokemon. I have Soulsilver BTW...I'm going to pick Squirtle once I beat Red, does anyone have a charmander and bulbasaur for trade?
How does this Pokewalker work also. Is it different based on the Pokemon I put in it? Is it true that it actually lvl's up? How often does that happen? Last, do I have to see it the whole time to work or can I have it open while leaving somwhere (or when I go to to sleep)?
-It'll always work, if you keep it around (i kept it in my pocket).
-It doesn't matter which pokémon you put in, it's always the same. The only difference are the roads on which you travel.
-Your pokémon does level up. But it won't go up anymore then 1 level per stroll. :(
My geodude only went up 1 lvl for 12000 steps!
Went around using Rock Climb to get new items and used Dowsing MCHN to find hidden items...also managed to catch Articuno and Zapdos today!
Also found out that Ice Beam is obtainable at the bottom of Seafoam Islands and got it! (Thanks to MetaMario!) You don't have to do that pesky Voltorb Flip for coins to get it!
Thanks NicoNico28, I was curious where the hell to get that move. Ice Beam> Blizzard.
