I need more of this Helluva Boss or Hazbin Hotel. Radio demon was awesome.

Charlie was cool because she was trying to do some good in a world of evil.
These guys are just murdering psychos. Not as easy to get behind.
In fairness that kid was an asshole.
Who wants something hilarious for Christmas?
I caught the TBS airing of the pilot episode of the Harley Quinnn animated series. I have to say with only seeing the pilot episode, its really enjoyable and I probably pick up the dvds for the series, once it starts coming out. The show reminds a lot of Venture Bros with the humor.
JelloApocalypse (the youtube channel behind the so this is basically series) has been making an original animated series called Epitaph Erased, which is like a weird, drunken (yet mostly family friendly) fusion of My Hero Academia and Regular Show/Adventure Time about people with magical powers based around words and wordplay fighting over a magical amulet that steals said powers. The animation is mostly limited outside of the intro, but I'd still highly recommend giving it a try for its quirky, hilarious cast and overall charm.
The first five episodes are already out on Youtube.
Saw Klaus today at the recommendation of my little brother, and I'm glad I saw it today. It was an amazing movie that made a good memory for the entire family.
Some huge news. Tex Avery's MGM shorts are finally coming out on bluray. I hope Blitz Wolf and the Screwy Squirrel shorts make it on the set.

I'm not worried about cuts to content; the Droopy DVD from more than a decade ago was mostly uncut* (including giving us the full Droopy's Good Deed, unlike on Laserdisc). I'm far more concerned this is going to end up like the Porky set from a few years back and some one is going to mess with the visual quality while restoring the shorts (if at all) or worse, mess with the soundtracks. Even if from what I've heard, the color Popeye sets have done a much better job.
* Mostly being that some war cartoons were their reissue version instead the originals (so The Shooting of Dan McFoo has the Wolf try to win Red's favor with a jeweled necklace instead of war-rationed cigarettes in the original), which isn't that surprising given the original negatives were destroyed in a fire in the 60's.
Who's watching Glitch Techs here?
I sure am! Yay for Glitch Techs!
So anybody else watched Harley Quinn? I just had a blast.
Spoiler:
I think King Shark is my favourite.
I really enjoyed it. Major venture bros vibe.
Watched both Glitch Techs and Harley Quinn.
Glitch techs is a pretty fun Saturday morning action kinda show. I think it lacks depth and sometimes comes across as 'hello, fellow kids' in its line writing, but there's a lot of heart and despite some cheese and detachment from more modern gaming (so far anyways), it goes pretty thorough on its references. I was impressed with the Castlevania ep the most, which was a blast to watch without simply relying on the nostalgia/references. There are also some good character interactions, a nice diverse cast, some really cool action and a fun wish fulfillment premise. I can see why it's getting positive attention, and it kept me hooked through the end of the season. I just hope we get to see Hi-5's family more next season, since I loved them, but they only showed up in the first episode.
Harley Quinn is a show that has a lot of problems. It curses and bleeds more than an edgy 00s teen marketing campaign, the end of the first season ramps up too quickly, and relies on some tropes that I really don't like. And yet despite all of that, I had a blast watching it. The Venture Bros comparison is apt. It has snappy humor that grounds the absurdity of the DC universe in the realities of modern life. Despite all the edge, it's pretty uncynical and brings out the best in its characters. The voice acting is really on point too (Alan Tudyk's Joker and Clayface steal the show, they are both so good), and helps make it easy to fall in love with these absolute trainwrecks. No idea what they'll do for S2, since the main arcs seem pretty closed, but I look forward to it.
