I don't really need giant flashbacks or anything, but at the moment I really, really want to see the world during Roger's time. I'm assuming pirates weren't as big of a threat back then, so I'm wondering what the navy was like, if they were as large, who their main enemies were... stuff like that. Just seeing WB's flashback to his youth, and Rayleigh's about meeting Roger makes me wonder about their society. Back before the golden age and all.

I think he's talking about the end of the series, since coby's goal is to be an admiral and luffys rival it wouldn't seem far fetched that by the end of the series or maybe a timeskip to show how the SH's affected the world to show them fighting it out with rivals who never used to be a threat and whose dreams were to match up with them one day (well that's coby's dream helmppo just wants to stay on power level with coby) but I agree if right now they could fight them it might seem a little strange

Yes.

Only problem is when. You'd expect Coby to fight Luffy near the end of the manga, but Helmeppo and Zoro would probably be fighting at the same time. And if Zoro was Mihawk level by then, well...



As for me, I wanna see that Tashigi-Kuina business get sorted out already. It's been far too long!

Also, to see this get rendered into a warlord for realz. He wouldn't need to be an actual part of the plot (given that the warlords are mostly in the Grand Line, not the New World) and it would be hilarious.

Endgame Luffy would be Pirate King and engame Zoro would be the world's best strongest swordsman. I just can't believe that Coby and Helmeppo, who have only recently began training, would be able to catch up to Luffy and Zoro who have been training almost their whole lives. It would just be somewhat disappointing.

I think the point is that Coby and Helmeppo will become capable enemies of Luffy one day. Coby desires to be an Admiral, and "chases" after Luffy, but I don't think they'll be rivals. That's more Smoker's role in the manga.

Well, Oda has already said that they are not related and the similarities are a coincidence.
Though I don't know if you mean that the coincident similarities should be expanded on to give Zoro some character development.

No it wouldn't , it would be disappointing if Coby become an admiral and couldn't be on par whith them.

I doubt as well that Coby will be an admiral... it would mean that his grow would be far bigger than Luffy's or Zoro's, who were trained by legends as well. Coby will become one in a future... He still is a younger generation as Luffy

I think you missed the point. I doubt Coby's grow which be MUCH bigger than Luffy's to make him near his level at the end... Someone like Smoker or Tashigi has better chances for it. Even if they still grow at a heavy rate it would be ackward him being Luffy level at the exact same time as Luffy

I can see him becoming an admiral later AFTER Luffy becomes pirate king when he reaches a certain age.

Maybe not completely sorting it out already, but I do wish Oda would have developed her a little more by now. At least, I would like Oda to provide us with a little more information about her or give us some direction about what the purpose of her character is, besides just being Smoker's number two. Oda's been somewhat coy about her level of strength; however, regardless of her strength, I have trouble imagining that Oda will have Zoro slicing and dicing such a morally "good" character like her, and the Kuina resemblance is supposed to just be coincidence. So then, what is the point? It's not a big deal, but it just something that is kinda bugging me, especially after just reading the Alabasta Arc again for the last couple of days.

Ah well, I wouldn't mind an update to know how she's coming along with the sword collecting.

I would love to see Tashigi surpass Zoro. I know that is very far-fetched but the awesome parallel of him getting his ass handed to him by Tashigi (Who would have hopefully stolen Wado Ichimonji from him to make the scene hit even harder) would be so sweet. Extra points for Zoro going Asura and Tashigi chastising him about "more swords doesn't equal more power."
