English "fish" takes the cake as the WORST dubbed song Funi has ever produced. Leah Clark fails so bad here, and the rhythm is totally moronic. Listen to some of these inflections:

Adventures greater THAN any-THING we had ever dreamed...

    I CAN hear it calling...

The original wasn't so hot either, but it was at least somewhat melodious.

To each their own; granted, Believe is lame, but again, at least I can tell it's a song.

To be honest they both have their own musical problems but i'd say in terms of actual singing, Believe is worse. Leah singing is never underpowered by the instrumentals while McCoy cannot sing the Believe in Wonderland part at all. Also, fish wasn't exactly the most interesting or exciting song to begin with so its not her very occasional inflections affect it too much. Its not the best dubbed song but it certainly isn't the worst.

I do like all of them, hell if I didn't, why would be making this thread in the first place?

I do have to say that the dub version of OP3 sounds much better than the orginal. Vic's singing just sounds so much more joyful and full of life compared to the vocalist of the Babystars. Not to say he's a bad singer but it doesn't get me as pumped up for an episode of One Piece. The dub's was perfect for creating the right atmosphere for a brand new dub. I hope other disliked songs, such as Opening 12 will sound better dubbed!

So being a "true" FUNi-fan means that we're not allowed to complain if there's so much as a single thing that bothers us about their treatment of the show? Riiight...

Yeah, Towards the Light was really good. In fact, I think all the songs Vic did were excellent, (or, maybe not A to Z) which is why I'm really hoping he'll be the one to sing Brand New World. (That, and the fact that I think his voice would fit perfectly for that particular song.)

Honestly, I think that You've Got Me was probably the worst. Whoever sung it had completely the wrong voice for the song, it was just painful for me. I would actually be able to sit through believe or Fish, especially since the latter didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would.

King, do you have any idea what the name of the track that plays in the Trailers Menu is?

To be fair, most of these songs are written with the intent of being sung in the Japanese "inexplicable female unic" pitch. Our American ladies make do with the best imitations they can.

    Nice Compilation TheGreatPirateKing.
A lot of good dubbed songs there.

I am still utterly gobsmacked by A-Z by Vic Micnogna, seems completely
unchanged from the Japanese to me (bar of course the language)

Well you're going to have to update it again because I plan to reupload some of the mp3s with better quality encodes, as well as reupload all the songs with subtitles back to youtube! Look forward to it!

Yay for people who don't know what they're talking about!

That's not the "2nd Version" of anything, that's not even Believe. That song is called "Dreamin' Of You", it's a rather shitty Eurobeat Pop Song that came out long BEFORE Believe. When Folder 5 did Believe for One Piece, with permission, they took the tune to "Dreamin' Of You", but gave it completely different lyrics and made a much better song.

FUNi's English version is one of their weaker songs, but it's still better than the Eurobeat Trash that is "Dreamin' Of You"
    Nothing here for now.
