[I survived the buster call]

Ya know, I don't want to imply anything, or anything, but virtually all of your recognizable companions here appear to be female. Something you want to tell us, there, Steven?

So, I got a mail from the facilities coordinator in my office building that I have a package. After a couple of days of forgetting about it (hell, there's no one who sends me anything on my office address!), I finally went down today to get it. I get this huge-ass package, opening which I find a note and this:

On reading the note, I find that my long-distance girlfriend sent it to me out of the blue as my birthday gift. She has not ever displayed any inclination toward the manga/anime art form. But not only did she sent me the (almost) #1 item on my wish list, she went through my academic website to find out my office address to send it to. So that it would be a complete surprise.
To say I was floored would be a massive understatement.

That is awesome! I would've been floored if I had gotten something like that in the mail from a friend. *insert "forever alone" meme*

I loved it as well, it got me to read some of Gaiman's other stuff. He's got quite the variety!
