Half african half european here.
In africa black people look at me as a white guy whereas in europe... Haha!
Kind of odd to be somewhere between the 2 worlds :)
So... gay people are minorities?
Oh wow... didn't know that. That's kinda weird, but okay...
The problem of immigration is integration. Some just enter germany and live in their own culture bubble having little to no knowledge of german and being unemployed without any really "interesting" qualification.
I agree with woflwood. Talking about it is like asking to get stoned.
lol.
In Benin for example the arabs (especially lebanese people) are ruling the supermarket industry. I did have little interaction with them. What amazed me is how tied the community is there. They somehow created their own bubble where they are strongly tied together. Though they have no problems interacting with black people. Anyways if one arab has a problem there many arabs will help him :)
That tends to be how immigrant communities work.Originally Posted by Magnetic Monkey

One thing sure immigrants will always be one the major scapegoat of a bad economy.
I'm an EU-immigrant.

I'm english with a dash of american. Possibly some French in there somewhere. But mostly English.
I really have no right to be in this thread.
Well I meant Minority as in every kind of group that does not fit in the majority's picture of things, so LGBTs are included, I suppose! (The idea was to include african-americans, cause maybe they do not see themselves as immigrants)
I am a 2nd generation Moroccan immigrant. My grandparents came here in the late 60s to work in the coalmines. The plan was just to work some years and go back, but after a while they brought their families and they're still here.
The dream is to one day go back to the homecountry with the whole family, but I sure couldn't live in Morocco right now.
And that's the story of 90% of the maghrebians in western europe.
"hail the great masked monster, king amanitium" - luffy
"his sword is powerful..." - zorro
"his 'sword' is powerful..." - nami
"even my hands can't overpower amanitium's..." - robin
I can't help but feel this is a quote from Obama.
Joking aside though I'm English; though I guess if I traced my bloodlines I'd probably find myself in Europe.
Then again I remember an article on the origins of humanity in the National Geographic that said something along the lines of 'the oldest human fossils being found in Africa'.
(I'd take this with a pinch of salt until I find the article I'm referring to)
