What is this shit? Don't get my hopes high! I headed to this thread to see an awsome big post with Reeves' three trips around the world. Instead there is this garbage of a flame war? Go do that in some other thread.

Yeah! I hate greeks! I wasn't just throwing your nationality on the end of it to sink your pathetic little YOU IZ BIAS CUZ FROM PLACE thing. Oh look! You are also from a place! Unclean??
Unless you're from Mars, shut the fuck up about DUH UH MERICAN' HAVE BIAS.
So you're one of those slack jawed armchair media critics who sips from their beer, looks at something from a country, then says "buy-iss", and takes another sip.Right I guess there is nothing propagandistic in BBC.
Unless you have some breaking news on a documentary actually being flawed on that issue, shut the fuck up.
Get out of here.
And now back to your normal programming.

Reaper man knows harvest comes in its own time.
I would be so glad to see this if only it wasn't 5 o'clock in the morn.
10:25 nigga, way to be in UTC+02![]()
It's gonna take a while to load this, but I'm looking forward to seeing it. Thanks man!
That's an understatement (about Rapidshare).
Just finished the first episode of Tropic of Capricorn. Fascinating on what the world misses out on, such as those people being used as 'practice' for the Holocaust (even my WWII professor, who knew more than I could ever remember, didn't mention that part of the world). Do you suppose the reason this stuff isn't more well known is due to willful ignorance, information control (much easier in the days pre-internet), or that's just the way things happened?
Also, that drinking scene reminded me of something I once heard about the Chinese (let me scrape together what I remember):
Is it true that Chinese business meetings can turn into a drinking contest (of sorts)? And that some businessmen actually hire people to do the drinking for them? When I saw Reeve being suckered into drinking, that's when I started feeling a little sorry for him.
People don't really think about Africa as anything but a big vague mass of poverty and war.
They aren't interested in differentiating beyond maybe EGYPT AND BLACK PEEPLE.
One "minor" genocide by Second Reich Germany is going to turn few heads beyond "oh thats just africa bein' africa".
Haha that's nice, I suggest the next place you visit is the OP. Then you can read it.
Actually stuff like this.
Piece of a larger 20th century documentary that shows a short, simple, but satisfactory picture of the massive economic rise of Japan and South Korea into being first world powers. South Korea's in particular was an immense jump.

Now that i don't have school to worry about i will check this out, making my world knowledge grow is something i really need to do.
Thanks Zephos.
Might have found a cool India historical documentary.
Genuinely good ancient historical documentaries are hard to come by, they can't benefit from the primary source interviews and extensive video footage of 20th century history.
But this one is looking good anyway.
I just bought tropic of cancer and I'll show it to a couple of friends. It should look a lot nicer in Dvd quality on a big Tv. Thats also the only Reeve thing available in the BBC shop. I wonder why...
Reeve says he and his crew don't earn any money from DVD sales.
That is acctually Reeves decision? I'm surprised over the level of control he has over these films. So it's not a BBC production but he produced it with his team and then sold TV rights to the BBC?
Are you coming on to him?
why would you want to know that?
do i sense some jealousy?
The epic battle of BusterCall vs. Don is decided !!!
And the results are 3:2 for Don..
