Funimation dvd discussion II ( UPDATED 8/4/12, FIRST POST FOR F.A.Q)

It's a nice cover. The white, even though its plain, enhances the light-hardheartedness of the cover. That being said, "voyage one" bothers me. It throws off the uniformity of my dvds. I hope Funimation responds to my tweet regarding ths.

Well, for all of those who liked the cover then good for you...for the rest like me...let's just hope they at least change it to "First Voyage" instead of "Voyage One"...This season's dvds are going to look SO weird next to the other ones. :/

As MasterKing said, let FUNi know about the "First Voyage" thing now, either through Facebook or Twitter. The more people letting them know now the higher the chance of it actually getting fixed.

Aside from the Voyage One issue, which I agree is a bit out of place, I really do like the cover.

I don't mind the "voyage 1" thing because when and if It comes to australia it's just going to be called "collection 17"

I don't get why people would be bothered with the Voyage One thing. It doesn't even throw off the uniformity like when manga companies change the logo on their spine, and that's been overblown by fans in the past.

Because it's an obvious little mistake that should still have some time to be fixed for release? They've used the old naming convention for all the other Voyage releases and even the trailer calls it "First Voyage", it makes sense people wouldn't want them to just randomly drop that for no real reason.

Not like I'm asking FUNi to make a new cover.

It's only a slightly reworded, even if it is a mistake it's nothing worth complaining about.

How do you know it's a mistake? They could have done that purposely. I doubt Funimation makes their decisions regarding their releases based on "how it'll look on a shelf/next to the other volumes".

Them calling every other release with the other naming convention, and them referring to it as "First Voyage" within the trailer leads me to believe this was just a little mistake. That's not an unreasonable conclusion to make. I mean they've had mistakes on past covers that got fixed for release.

I don't know if I can speak for everyone else, but I'm not complaining, and I certainly didn't in my tweet. I was just letting them know. Nothing anyone should be taking issue with.

Yep, this will definitely help get a few sales in August. Lately, FUNimation has been really pimping season 4 on their site and on Face Book.

Just recieved collection 6, looking forward to some full time Robin action.

Are the collections only going to the end of the skypeia arc then and season 4 voyage one picks up from there? Thinking if I should buy that with i'm guessing 2 voyages or just wait for collection to catch up. I'm guessing that could take a long time though but the voyages releases are alittle expensive for me.
