Oooh! Synful Syn sketches. It's cool to see some future characters. <3
Is that one 10 year old, (Tib? Tra? I can't tell what the name is) in love with Syn or something? That's kinda creepy. xD And I love all their names. They're all like, three letters long. It reminds me of Invader Zim in a way, haha. (Dib, Zim, Gaz, Red, Gir, etc.) Liu looks cute. She reminds me of Velma from Scooby Doo. I love the Hall Moniters, their designs look so silly. xD Are Evi and Richie going out or something? And that sketch of Syn helping Leo is adorable! Syn looks really smart. And I love all those Syn/Fria sketches; they're all very cute. And I love Dab's design. She's a person you don't wanna mess with, huh? lol That one face Tra/Tib is making in the middle right side of the page is hilarious. xD
Damn, you're really creative Hiroy. And all these pictures are just so cute! I can't wait to see more stuff from you soon. <3
I didn't realize Zim used that three letter thing until I re-watched it this year. Wasn't aware that Dib's sister name was Dab either. Hahah! I still kept them because liked the puns behind some of the names. Like:
Liu=Lier(though she does not lie)
Leo=Lion(though he's a coward) Tia=Tear(always crying when her heart is torn out...)
Richter=There's a muscle in the leg called the Band of Richter.. He dreams to create a band, but does not have the strength or willpower to do so. Oh.. and he's more fat than muscle.
Fria's name is based off the Norse God Freya/Frey, and one of her prospects/followers name is Syn. Her personally isn't based on the Norse myth, but Syn's is a bit coincidental... they match almost, but I never intended it.
As for your other questions, Richter and Evi are going out. Her dad mentioned it in one of the previous comics. Their relationship is on and off due to the little things they have in common(both aren't interested in eachother's major life choices), but they love eachother's company. Tia's situation is strange.
She had alot of boyfriends in the past but they either all broke up with her, disappeared, or died in some unlucky freak accident.
I would not say she's in love with Syn, but more infatuated. She thinks Syn looks like a boy at times and her imagination tend to go wild and experimental, and she does not know whether or not these feelings should be embraced or treated as wrong due to social norms.
Oooh~ That's cool. I love it when names have puns to them. (A little witch character I made is named Batty Loona, for one haha). Although, Dib's sister isn't named Dab, it's Gaz. It's short for Gazoline (gasoline), lol.
Poor Tia. That's... kinda wierd. Really weird. Defenetly one of your more interesting characters. And that's a weirld little bit of trivia for Richter. I never would have known that otherwise. o: Maybe you should draw Fria and Syn dressed up as their Norse counterparts one day? Haha. That would be cute.
Is it? Wow. I guess I been mishearing it wrong. Should have sworn I heard "Dab" once or twice. Well, one mystery solved.
And yes. I had alot of trouble writing something for Tia. Even more trouble designing her. The ziz-zag pontail took a long time to get used too... I probably still have problems with it now. That and I thought her original design looked too "martian-like" until I rounded it up and added bow. Technical things aside, I wasn't intending on the whole bisexual thing and I certainly didn't want to make it just a gag with no explanation. It all kinda just happened. It's strange how characters are born... especially from my head. The story I have for her is kinda interesting. I'll have to see how well the pieces fit together.
I know how you feel. I still have trouble drawing certian aspects of characters I create. Like hats for one. lol.
That's interesting. I like how you turned a little aspect of her personality into an entire backstory. That's actually what happens to me a lot, but I never really 'keep' the characters I create long enough for there to be reason behind the story. I can't wait to see how Tia's story plays out. It sounds really interesting. <3.
Jesus. I did the exact same thing yesterday, although for an entirely different reason.
I found a giant cockroach in my room, freaked, killed it with overdose of bug spray and threw it in the toilet, sprayed my room to death, and stayed in the living room 'till 8am and finally went in my room and fell asleep.
...I have a horrible fear of bugs. ;~;
Of course I'm spoiling you! But I'm coloring it on photoshop and this is rather new for me so I don't know when I'm gonna finish. That and, well, I'm horrible and measurements of any sort whatsoever.
Edit: I'm the same. If a see a roach, I HAVE to hunt it down and murder it. I can't sleep knowing that there are intruders in my room.
Well, take it one step at a time. It's your first time stepping up from MS Paint.. which is surprising alone as it is.
Glad to know I'm not alone. God, I hate bugs. You should see me when I find a fly and trap it in a small room. I look like a riduculous ninja, and I suddently gain reflexes I never knew I had. Plus the paranoia doesn't help. IhatebugsIhatebugsIhatebuuuuggsss.
Well, the first step from MSPaint was begining to draw on Paint.NET. Which began almost exactly one year ago, actually. Drawing on Paint.NET helped me get used to layers and coloring with a palet instead of just set colors I had to create. And the lines are different, one being pixelated and one not. After that I started drawing a lot on Tegaki, which also helpe me. But Photoshop is way more advanced than both of those. However, practice makes perfect, as they say. Thanks for the encouragement! <3
